usually anytime i get 3 or more u get something, even gotten 5, but winning 4 out of 6 i got nothing, am i suppose to go 6-0 every game?
Your MMR was too high compared to the people you beat.
Without a scoreboard screenshot showing the cr and mmr, anything we offer is pure conjecture. The obvious answer, is that you’re rated higher than the opponents you matched into and thus 4-2 was the expected result and 3-3 would’ve lost cr.
So I’ve had this happen a few times, and what I don’t understand is…why am I in that lobby? There isn’t a shortage of dps queueing. Like yeah I won a majority and was supposed to, but should’ve been against similar MMR.
Then why are we even in that game?
We have nothing to gain, but everything to lose. We shouldn’t even be there.
yup, after a 15 min que too. blizzard is not doing solo que right.
Did you go on a losing streak before that?
I was up in 1800 mmr at 1700, then had back to back 1-5 which cratered my mmr.
3-3 doesn’t raise your mmr. It keeps it the same since you played even.
4-2 will raise it decently, so even if you didn’t gain any that match; win the next one (4-2 or greater) and you’ll get more rating.
still in placements or the game hasn’t really dialed you in yet. Once you have a lot more games under your belt, your cr will be dialed in to your mmr, and 3-3 with no rating change or mmr adjustment will be the norm unless you can go 4-2 or better.
I think it also depends which rounds you were expected to win and which rounds you were expected to lose. So, it’s not just the overall 4-2, but which particular 4 rounds you won and which particular 2 rounds you lost.
Maybe you’d have even longer queues, possibly getting 0 games during your play session. Some players might not want that.
Possibly to make some progress on seasonal/weekly rewards?
Magnus Carlsen probably has to deal with a similar issue.
they say it does, but sometimes it feels like the only thing that matters is your cr and personal mmr.
The shortage is healers not dps. This comment doesn’t make sense, as waiting for similar MMR dps isn’t the hold up.
Let’s say your MMR is 2k. You only want to be matched with a healer that’s 2k+ because you don’t want to be matched with people noticeably lower than you.
So, if there are healers at 1.9k, now the system passes over you. You keep waiting for a healer that’s 2k+.
Thus, longer queues.
Basically u got put in a match with everything to lose and nothing to gain.
Heres a link to my earlier post. https: //us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/down-bad-in-shuffle/1476543/5
The match making system puts you in lose lose situations after you catch a couple bad games. So you need a few decent wins in a row before you start gaining cr again. At least thats my experience after doing hundreds of rounds across 4 toons, all dps.
i can conceive that there was a shortage of dps sufficiently high mmr to balance a low mmr healer they had to pull in to make the game happen at all, especially if you’re playing a spec that isn’t dh/shadow etc and the game is trying to prevent a lobby from doubling up. but maybe it’s just an error; there’s no way they want the indicator to be telling you average queue 10 minutes on an hour queue, so there are obviously still errors to find
potentially to enjoy the gameplay and participate in a match with other players, whose decisionmaking stands a reasonable chance of surprising and invigorating you
just because it’s solo queue doesn’t mean it’s all about you
