Why did Blizzard screw up M+ so much?

We have that now. You can do moderate dungeons for moderate crests and use them to craft moderately powerful gear.

No no I want alllll dungeons to be at most heroics again and of course badge vendors. Down with this nonsense crafting stuff. However no one else but me wants to see a modern wrath heroic progression anymore.

Simpler times were glorious imo.

Definitely agree there. Mid level keys have always been the worst to pug.

We just played through wrath classic, 95% of all badge gear was garabge and the game was basically a raid log experience not a great time.

What I like about crafting is that it ties everything together. Tomorrow I’ll hit 25 renown with Hallowfall, which will give me a freebie Runed crafting gizmo that combines with our spark we’re getting tomorrow so I can FINALLY make some decently statted 619 boots.

I haven’t been able to get boots with good stats to drop for the life of me.

Hasn’t this always been the vibe? They only cave to players when it’s absolutely necessary, which usually means overwhelming demand. Look how long it took to get Classic WoW, when they repeatedly stated we think we want it but we don’t. Or the war on flying.

And that’s not even getting into Blizzard being the king of monkey paw wishes.

People don’t want classic WoW, though - if they did, Blizzard wouldn’t have to keep coming up with gimmicks to make it not-classic-anymore to convince them to stick around.

I have made fresh pot would offer some but teleporters have not been invented yet , i also have no intention debating, i can see your point but community has evolved/devolved to this point with or without help from devs and it is what it is.And thanks, our small group is working our way into 10 when we don’t do medium ones for other guildmates.Have good rest of the day.

I loved getting purples back then as any purple felt good to me. And yeah most of WoW back in the day was just raiding and pvp of course but it also had 12m players with no crz needed. The community back then made their own content also as we did runs on the capitals! We ran the previous tiers too quite often!

True it does fill those gaps and it’s amazing you can craft every slot even to whatever stats and embellishments you want. Don’t even have to stick with whatever some site says is good for dps and go with something else.

I hate it and like it at the same time, but I also think it cheapens gearing too much.

You get the runed crest at renown 24, fyi.

Dont equate old wow having 12 million players cause it was a raidlog experience , there are many many reasons why wow blow up to that many players back then, and everything the community did back then they do now. Dont live in the past dude wow will never be what you remeber when u first started. The rose tinted goggles dont help you

Oh I’m too far gone my friend. I can envision a WoW that has 20m players in the future if it plays its cards right. But it won’t be anything like the WoW of the past but one that’s learned from it and the current gaming generation.

M+ can evolve as well and pull in far more people than it does. Dungeons could be super popular again to run but it’s all in how it’s done. And all these changes the last couple seasons will likely bring about its necessary evolution for dungeon lovers.

WoW is Blizzards baby love it or hate it they need it to thrive more than all other franchises.

I hope wow reaches 20 million again some day too, but crappy badge gear for casuals aint the answer, lfr, delves, worldquest, m0, etc etc is far more rewarding

In DF S2/3/4 I ran over 500 keys per season.
Why? It was fun. Regardless if the group was amazing, the dungeons were mostly fun and enjoyable.

I don’t know if I’m going to make 250 this season.
I look through posted keys with disdain now, none of them check that ‘fun’ box. :frowning:

If it’s only fun if it’s easy, why not just do easy dungeons? They’re still there.

All they needed to do was make it a bit harder than DF S3 to make the large majority of the player-base happy. Instead they cranked everything up to a point where the rewards and the difficulty no longer reflect each other accurately. It’s almost a second job to be able to get the weekly vault in with full mythic slots as a pug. And that’s exactly what most of my friends that have unsubscribed have mentioned as well, they already have one job it’s not feasible to try and have a second one with WoW that isn’t paying you anything, but actually you pay for the privilege of being time-gated.

That type of gear would be champion level. That is the retail equivalent. Are people hurting for champion gear?

With a small amount of hero from emblems of frost, which are limited to 2 per day if you don’t raid and items cost 60-90 depending on the slot.

There’s more to it than just being “easy”. There’s people being positive, there’s an environment that’s enjoyable, there’s less punishment, etc. Stop trying to grind it down to just easy vs hard. It’s so much more complex than that.

They always try to take things to the extreme to attempt to make us look foolish for voicing our opinions, but they often times make our arguments even stronger by going so far off the deep end with the commentary.
