Why did Blizzard Put Rat People (Vulpera) in the game?

I don’t get it? Blizzard thought it was a good idea to put rat people in the game? Why would anybody want to play a large rat? And what’s with their name Vulpera. That just doesn’t sound right. Sounds like a reference to something else.

What is Blizzard trying to do? Copy Warhammer Skaven? Well in Warhammer at least the Skaven look scary. Wow’s rat people look lame, actually they look more like demented squirrels.

Blizzard: “Oh look we are giving players a new epic race to play as, Rats!”

Oh yeah thanks Blizzard. No one wants to play a rat even though it looks like a squirrel.

Well, believe it or not but those rodents have more sensible lore than void elves.

They are not rats they are foxes total different species of mammals. And the biological name for foxes is vulpes. Hence vulpera. Sorry to burst your bubble

They look nothing like foxes. Sorry to burst your bubble. They look like rats, big funny looking rats.

and yet they still managed to be a better option than the diaper gnomes the alliance got

Rat people have been in the game since Vanilla. They’re called Kobolds. Did you troll about it back then, too?

Tell me you know nothing about fox taxonomy without telling me you don’t. A simple Google search would have saved you this embarrassment.

Fennec foxes are cute albeit obnoxious.

There wasn’t a cute race so they added a cute race. They’ve slotted in quite nicely despite having easily the worst combat racial perks in the game and have become I think the second most popular allied race after Void Elves.

If you think vulpera look more like rats then foxes you need glasses.

Man, I’d play a Skaven warlock so hard. Vulpera aren’t ratfolk. Ratfolk are cool.

OP if you don’t know the difference between a rat and a squirrel which are related, and a fox, which isn’t related, then idk what to tell you other than preschool failed you.

Are Gnolls close enough? :dracthyr_love_animated: I like how dingy and feral they can look.

Nope I live on a farm. I know all about rats. Just yesterday a rat carried off one of our cows. By golly, I know a rat when I see one.

Doesn’t make up for the stupidity of your thread.
