archeology, pet pvp, etc etc.
I guess this is shrinkflation wow style.
Why not just remove these features from the game?
archeology, pet pvp, etc etc.
I guess this is shrinkflation wow style.
Why not just remove these features from the game?
Because they dont care what we think. Havent for a long time …
Why would they? Archaeology for old stuff is fine for what it is, but because relatively few people did it they discontinued their work on it in favor of other things (or nothing).
Warfronts bombed so they stopped making them, but it wouldn’t make sense to just delete all the assets in both Arathi and Darkshore for no reason.
Well, I guess all that’s left is to use up my game gold and go.
That seems contradictory as if no one does it why keep it around?
People do legacy warfronts for mog/achievements, though. It wouldn’t make sense to randomly erase content they’ve put resources into developing. It’s just that they hated them when they were current so they didn’t make a third one.
I don’t really understand your line of inquiry.
Folks hate no flying but that doesn’t stop them from trying to create something as moronic as dragonriding.
They aren’t going to tell us they don’t have the resources to keep these features afloat.
Blizzard being on life-support wouldn’t just be hyperbolic rumors anymore.
Flying in current content was the compromise.
That makes sense.
They have said a few times Arch is getting a revamp and might be in a later DF patch.
They’ve said they will likely update Archaeology in a later Dragonflight patch.
It made sense it wasn’t in Shadowlands - there’s no real historical significance in those lands. They were outright created by the First Ones and those cultures are all still very much existent - though I do wish they had used Archaeology for Korthia though instead of random relic collecting.
Very few people in the pet community like PvP pet battles - pets are very hard to balance for PvP. There’s a sub-community that runs tournaments, but I think the last one got cancelled due to lack of interest?
However, Blizzard also said like last month they’re looking into potentially adding NPCs to the Pet PvP queues to help alleviate the problem of not finding people in your MMR level to match with.
Imagine working on something and putting a lot of effort into the work.
Then you release it to others and they lift their nose up in disgust to be proceeded by multiple articles being made about how horrible the work is etc.
That’s likely the devs point of view for how much effort they put into the content.
I’d also like to point out how I’m one of the people putting my nose up disgustedly … but I do it more out of disappointment in the direction of the game.
I still try to acknowledge the hard work they’ve done - even if I think it’s crap.
Most of it was ill-received long before it went live. Folks suggested ways to make it better during betas and they didn’t so why would you acknowledge apathetic work?
i’d add recycled dungeons/content in that folder personally.
incorrect. there’s always a counter to any team. That’s the fun in it. I guess a turn based strategy game is too much work compared to kiting and killing in mythic +.
like Neverwinter Online. lol
Poor old wow. I won’t be purchasing DF for certain.
I said balance, not counter.
Just becuase you can counter something doesn’t make it balanced.
I guess it’s semantics at this point. Like the original wow pvp of rogue beats mage, warrior beats priest. Now it is just gear-based and exploiting mmr.
