Why destroy the one activity WoW had that was unique vs. FFXIV?

Mythic+ is one of the main motivators for me to even play this game.

I can’t scratch my dungeon itch in that game so I wanted to play here.

Why are the developers deciding to throw the one actually unique system away?

I am not sure, is this an effort to make people play FFXIV and not WoW???

Such drama.

End of dungeon loot is nerfed, weekly chest is buffed. Eventually most of your gear comes from the weekly chest, so overall I’d call m+ gearing buffed. It will just start off a little slower.

But it’s not being removed. Bliz just decided that being able to spam mythic+ to gear out faster than you can gear out in raids was too much. You’ll still be able to gear out with Mythic+ more than those that just do heroic dungeons but not on the level of those that raid.

From where I sit - purely observer and speculating - I don’t think the change will be that major or deleterious to mythic+.

And then there’s the possibility that previous raid tier trinkets out perform current tier, as they did in a couple iterations in BfA.

I can see the frustration, Mister Thicc, but hopefully the game content you prefer will still have value in SLands.

People don’t want to be rewarded less for doing harder could content. They could of capped the loot you can receive from end of Dungeon chests. Make it like visions where once you’ve looted an item at a certain ilvl no more of that for the week.

This change is to limit item trading. That’s it. M+ was touted as an alternative to Mythic raiding. It became a requirement because of the top end and then the middle group of Heroic players followed suit.

The players who only play M+ shouldn’t suffer because Heroic raiders are sad they out gear their favourite content. This change is getting negative feedback everywhere, even Reddit where people usually just post commissioned artwork of their characters.

Another shortsighted change that will bite them in the butt.

I love how Blizz is just making the Mythic dungeon gear just slightly weaker at the end so its not as good a raiding loot and idiots are losing their f****** minds over it.

Your weekly vault ilvl will still give you the same ilvl as mythic raid gear. Most people who only did mythic + in Legion and BFA were in full cache gear, not full gear from the actual dungeon. With gear acquisition rates getting nerfed across the board, M+ needed to be toned down as well.

I think the end of dungeon ilvls are a tad too low, but M+ in its BFA state was not healthy for the game.

Welcome to the General Discussion WoW forums. Vault gear from M+ is still the same ilvl as Mythic raid tier gear as well.

People on these forums just enjoy being upset.

Mythic 15s are harder than raiding.

Lowered the value but not destroyed… if you were pushing super high keys you probably were raiding mythic for the gear to push higher to begin with. Look at the gear at the top pushers and you’ll see that.

They removing M+? Very nice. But I press X to doubt because this is literally the only esport Blizzard still monetizes in WoW.

Depleting a 15 to get a 475 every week is not as hard as killing Mythic raid bosses. You are on drugs.

They don’t. Currently the weekly chest outgears +15 by 10 points. In SL the weekly chest will outgear +15 by equivalent of 20-25 points now. You also only need to do a 14 to get that weekly chest in SL. Pushing higher keys will be easier in SL.

Why are you so worried about FFXIV?

Games can exist at the same time without needing to compare them for no reason. If you like one over the other, play the one you like. If you like them both play them both.

Except to push that +15 key you’ll need a really really good group and some luck with affixes or Mythic raid gear. Another boneheaded change from the company that thought Azerite was good and is pushing through with the terrible covenant system.

This launch is going to fail hard after the first month. I’m ready with some :popcorn: at least.

There is no tribalism. But my reasons to play WoW are being stomped on.

I don’t play WoW to deal with 20+ screaming 30 year olds complaining about their kids for hours. I want to do dungeon grind and have fun here.

It’s just that the games offer[ed] different things to do. Now I am unhappy WoW is destroying their uniqueness
