Having 10k people on a server is a change.
Y’know the funny thing about people who want an addon and a group finder that automates things for them? They don’t see human text statements. They completely miss the “level 14 druid willing to tank Ragefire” while their little addon spams the channel looking for a tank.
Is that really being more social? Perhaps not. But personal experience is that the people I do group with, based on those more human group requests, talk during the dungeon, aren’t ready to throw in the towel at the first death, are overall more sociable.
Agreed. So Changes justify more Changes? I’d like to hear the rationale on that one. And incidentally that particular change would actually make it easier, potentially, to find groups.
To be fair I don’t think anyone sees those with the amount of spam that happens.
You don’t statically hold an amount of water in your hands. You have to adjust based upon waves that occur. The goal being to not allow water to escape your hands. As such you have to move your hands in order to retain the water. Classic and the community are not static. You have to put up walls or move things around to retain that motion.
But isn’t that just chasing the spirit of vanilla? We’d be making Changes all day if that were our goal.
True, and the definition of vanilla itself is subjective. Really only blizzard at the end if the day has the sayso, because they are the only ones that can input/delete code for game.
To me this is exactly why no LFG addon improves the social aspect of the game. The easier it is to get a group as a solo player the less inclined people will be to form relationships and friends lists, or to be social in a group.
Automatic LFG nah and I’m glad Blizz broke it.
Honestly at this point all Classic LFG really does is parse LFG chat and sometimes alert you if someone is looking for a dungeon you have selected.
Barely works, handy tool at best.
I see them, and those I group with see them.
I’ve learned to clean up the “Looking For Group” channel by ignoring all the boost/carry folk. I don’t group with them anyway, so no loss there.
