The quest complete and new quest icons looks soo bad now
I wouldn’t know. I can’t even see them now.
They’re tiny and the color is so light, they just fade into the background.
yep can hardly see the quests now lol
At the very least, I do wish they were bigger like the older ones. The current ones are harder to see and differentiate from each other. They probably have the same technical size but the unnecessary borders reduce the overall visual. Though, I am sure I will get used to the change or an addon will become available so I won’t have to.
I’m not a fan of the map markers now being dots instead of numbers.
Before was better for questing with friends and family, “lets head over to three”
Now you either say the name of the quest and others need to look it up, or you describe where on the map.
im sure a addon will be made to bring back OLD ones
Idk why they removed the numbers. But overall i like all the new icons, they feel satisfying to click lol.
EXCEPT the bonus objectives. They look too much like world quests imo.
I don’t even need the old ones. Just fix the size and coloration a bit for the new ones. That blue on repeatable quests is too light and the icon too small.
They do. They’re also faded, too small, and are hard to see. Sometimes when I accept a blue quest, the icon remains over the npc. The accepted quest icons as a big circle block a lot of info on the map as well. All examples of things that didn’t need changing, and all gor the worse.
That is why I use this macro for my mini map…it helps a bunch to see small crap they use now…/run Minimap:SetScale(1.8)
Then all you have to do is do a reload or make macro to put mini map to original size…
I like the new icons.
Yeah, I had to check the legend to figure out what that was. I could see it wasn’t the same as a World Quest icon, but surely Blizzard could’ve made a more distinct one for Bonus Objectives.
This is my only gripe. The icons themselves are fine— when I can actually see them.
Maybe they will, but I think its dumb they make a change and then rely on 3rd party coders to fix their product for Quality-of-Life Improvement. Pay someone to make an inferior product then not pay a 3rd party person to improve it.
From the past I’ve learned to give these sort of things a week or two. Sometimes we mistake different for bad, though after some time for reflection it still looks bad.
I don’t think they’re bad. I just can’t see them.
All for giving it time for the changes to sink in. but from a color blind perspective, i can not see them at all even with the colorblind mode enabled in the game. an option to revert to the old ones would be helpful to some.
yeah it’s… it’s hard to tell who’s givin out quests now. the big ol exclamation point/question-mark always felt backwards to me (since they’re asking you to do a quest, and thanking you, instead of telling you to do a quest, and asking if you’ve done it) but atleast i could see the darn things.
this? this isn’t streamlining, this is being ageist, or… whatever term it is older folks use when they’re being excluded- i dunno, i just found the old look easier to see, this new look is more difficult, stupid, and unnecessary.
this game is 20 years old. why are you making this harder for your aging playerbase blizzard? … and to get this out there, i’m not that old (i’m in my early 30s), i just like being able to see things that’re necessary for progression.
just… 20 year old game. 20 years old. the players who started this game as teens? are in their 30s/early 40s. don’t be dumb blizz, make things easier to see.
We’re not for ‘no changes’, we’re just against obvious bad changes.
This feels like going from Windows 7 to Windows 8.
A lot of bad and unnecessary stuff nobody asked for.
yea, and you want this shoved down everyone’s throat. got it.
Man, do i miss 7 Pro!
I feel like each new version of Windows, all we do is get a heap of changes that we didn’t need, plus we lose access to something we previously had control over
Whats that old saying …" if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it"…seems blizzard can never leave things alone that are just fine, they always have to screw it up.
