Why are we forced to move on to the worst expansion with the characters we love? Why not offer the ability to stay in a wrath era server, or a tbc era server? You have more than enough servers with dead populations… you can easily convert them into the new era servers for all of us to jump ship too… Tons of classic players want nothing to do with catacylsm as evidenced by the Sod Population and the sheer number of people complaining in the forums… why do you purposefully spit in the faces of your customers by force feeding them content that they do not want while ignoring the requests of paying classic players?
Let the cata folks have their game, but let the rest of us off this terrible ride and go back to wrath/tbc. Id really hate to lose all this progress, gear and investment by going to a private server.

My guess is that it’s one of two things.
a. All of WoW Classic, from the guy in the red shirt to 2019 launch, and moving through TBC → Wrath was an elaborate, long planned scheme to get under your skin by following it up with Cataclysm Classic just to see the result.
b. Cata is what was after Wrath so they decided to release Cata Classic… well, after Wrath Classic.
At least, that’s what I figure… it’s probably one of those two…

truly it’s because WoW players cant be trusted to just exist in a persistent virtual world. They need to be fed content constantly or they stop playing and stop paying. And the only content path the company developed simply passes through Cataclysm.

People like having new tasks to do, as evidenced by how dead Era servers became once the progression ones went onward to BC.
I love Wrath and started in the original Wrath, but we couldn’t have stayed stuck in it forever for the progression servers.
I do hope they do come back and revisit BC and Wrath in some way though.

Cata and Mop are freaking awesome, this is what happens when you get people incapable of thinking for themselves and just accept a narrative.
Peoples bad experience with WoW isn’t the game itself but them aging and losing the new feeling from WOTLK, everything was exciting and new not because the game but because of yourself, Cata and MoP are objectively good experiences. Whilst WoD was a let down and legion was good.

Exactly. Cata was the worst expansion and people just refuse to accept it.
Of course, if you’d like to think for yourself, realize that people play WoW differently. Not everyone Raids, PvP, or other participates in similar content. Content that I enjoyed the most was blasted away in Cata and Blizz fed on the Carcass with each following expansion.
With that said, if you want to continue NOT thinking for yourself…Just say that I’m playing it wrong.

Blizzard, I hope you are seeing all of these posts, AND put up a TBC and a WotLK server this June. It is a great time to open a few servers with students off and many people using vacation time.
Continue on with your WoW Reboot Tour (Cata → MoP…), but allow the players that love the classical era of WoW (Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK) to remain on a permanent server from that period, please.

you do not represent the player base, you are simply a vocal minority… the vast majority of the players are prepping to enjoy cata and dont waste their energy on these forums

If most were against cata classic then why weren’t they more vocal than those who wanted it. This just proves who was more vocal than the other.
Also calling bullcrap on the less than 25%. You’re just pulling a random number out of nowhere.

Cata was better than BFA and Shadowlands for quality assurance reasons alone.
Comparing one turd to two others doesn’t make it any less of a turd.
