Why can't worgens use their worgen form for cat form?

As a worgen, I mastered the pack form, why do I, as a druid, have to use the lesser kitty form to claw and bleed when I’m a massive walking wolf? Would be cool if worgens had a racial to use their worgen form for cat form!

No one but Blizzard knows. They will probably come back with something something about animations.

That would be pretty fire, ngl.

Why taurens use bear form to tank when they clearly are tougher than regular bears?

A similar problem with the trolls that worship Gonk.

edit: This is Gonk. Although to be fair, he’s burrowing the magic of the Emerald Dream which should mean it wasn’t a guarantee for raptor forms.

While quite possible, adding animations to models shouldn’t actually require development on a 20 year old game. Tools should have been created so any artist can do this.

The Pack Form is a forbidden druid form, this video goes more into depth.

I couldn’t post it because of the video cover, so I’ve decided to trend carefully and just post the link.

Id have argued that in keeping with the name “cat” form, theyd want to keep the shape cat like.

But that was thrown all the way out the window with the warebear form.

So now i think its purely spite lol

Exactly, once werebear came out, people got tired of the basic same old “cat” and “bear” forms and craved something that was new and different like the werebear. Also, may I remind people of the Warlords of Draenor druid talent called “Claws of Shirvallah” that was like werebear form but for cat form!

Still seemed like a weird mistake using Shirvallah, the Loa actually dislike druidism. Could’ve focused on a new Saberon god. :memo::robot:

I don’t know either but I’m not complaining, being a man wolf instead of some tiny kitty felt as cool as being a werebear.

Hopeful but maybe we’ll see more worgen encounters in midnight? Sounds perfectly thematic for werewolfs. :crossed_fingers::robot:

Because pack form is banned, due to it being uncontrollable.

One of the reasons I got excited for the Emerald Dream is that the lore suggests that after the worgen druids became a forbidden form, they were banished to the Emerald Dream. When I saw Goldrinn there, my excitement intensified. “Surely with all of these new Druid forms, there will be some super secret reveal of the Worgen Druid form we’ve all been…well…dreaming about!” But it seems Blizzard didn’t even consider it. Which makes me a sad dog-kitty.

What they need to give druids is the ability to use the old WoD forms, alongside that the druid humanoid forms that many NPC’s in the game still use. The ones in ZG, the ones in ED, probably others I have no idea about.

We should be able to decide, full cat/bear/chicken form, or tapping into those abilities and have us ‘transforming’ so we still look human.

That’d be great to be honest (Blizz could also pull a funny and give their ‘worgen-cat-form’ a tail, lol)

I’d also love if:

  • Worgen could also get a glowing wolf form.
  • Kul’Tiran could get a kraken aquadic form.
  • Zandalari could have forms that looked like their Loa.
  • Night Elves could have forms that looked like the Hyjal wild gods.
  • Normal Trolls could have forms that looked like the Amani or Drakkari Loa.

:person_shrugging: I mean to be fair, it’s still not too strange for trolls to take on the powers or forms of their chosen & revered loa.
