I would like this too.
I just want a drop-down so there isn’t 8 recolors of a pair of shoulders cluttering up my other options.
Arathi shoulders → drop down → all colors available

Those are great ideas. I love the cool effect mogs and being able to sort by that would be fantastic.
Best addon I’ve installed in a while, even when it’s acting up and stopping other UI elements from working right

They might be able to do it if think really hard but be aware, it may cost us at least one raid tier, or maybe two! 
And that will be fine with me, can’t speak for almighty raiders tho, they probably won’t like the idea.

To uh…addon to what others have said in this thread, with Better Wardrobe, you can sort by color:
Above is an example of the interface you get when you click on the shield in the first arrow.

yeah, there are LUAs popping up when i use it from time to time. I really like the dual-combo BugGrabber and BugSack that inhibit the LUA pop-ups and allow me to review 'em at my leisure, so they’re not popping up during combat and harshing my vibe

Better question: why don’t all items have a recolor option the way they do in Star Wars the old republic so that when we dislike the color option, we can simply re-dye them?
There have been eight DLC‘s since bio aware came up with the idea. In 16 years they could’ve figured something out.
DLC needs to stay away from world of warcraft. Also nobody plays star wars the old republic.
Gear in world of warcraft is specific colors because it shows where the gear came from.
