Why can't we mount in raids?

The places are usually massive and spaceous. Yet for some reason mounts are disabled.

No teleports to bosses and no mounts makes wipes so much more frustrating due to the time wasted just to get back to the boss.

Depends on the raids. There are quite a few raids you can mount in. Depends on the size usually and if its outdoors or not.

That should be irrelevant in raids really.

Can’t mount indoors. That’s how it’s always been. /shrug

Usually because indoor means a small house.

A hallway 50 meter wide and 200 meter tall is not exactly a house.

It’s pretty rude to ride your horse in someone elses house, even if it is big.

You can mount in that one with the giant worm boss, I forget what its called and that place is entirely indoors.

I mean logically we have 200 - 500 mounts hidden in a pocket universe and can call them up anytime so I agree why not. typically any instance with an open sky box you can mount in.

There’s no rhyme or reason on where you can mount and where you cannot.

For example, you could mount in the Jailer encounter area, which was just a big enclosed room.

But you can’t mount in the Raszageth room, which is even bigger.

This but unironically. After perhaps the best received raid in wow, Ulduar, which had a gorgeous sense of scale, vehicles and many diverse areas and environments, they tried making a raid without the need to move anywhere and without any trash and TotC was universally reviled.

Which could be because of other reasons than people not having to move around a lot.

Like too much RP or boring environments.

The problem with mounting in raids is simple if you take the time to look at the animation halfway through the peak of it. If we let one person mount then more people will follow and that is going to damage the integrity of the game to a point where you might even come across a different playstyle.

The main reason people mount in raids (when they can) is for a repair vendor.

Is that an honest argument or are you projecting?

I’m stating a fact as somebody who’s been doing progression raiding for years.

Sorry to break it to you but progression means nothing if you can progress by the next expansion. Try paying attention to what ur raid does when theyre inside more often so you get which they mount up.

…but it’s not rude to kill them in their own house?

would be cool to see an AQ40 mount type system again…for the larger ones anyway :revolving_hearts:
