As the title says, why cant we have the option of posting min/max quality for public orders? What’s the reasoning behind this.
Wouldn’t being able to post this in public be a real QoL improvement?
Right now we gotta hop online and ask trade if a person can craft max level item or not and then do it as a max level personal order. Posting it publicly (at max level or whatever level you are looking for) would save a lot of time.
Or am I missing something behind why we cant post orders at min/max level in public?

I think they are afraid people leveling crafters would not really be able to use the public order system, because they can’t do 5star yet and all the more experienced crafters would snatch those up. The thing is, the public order system is not really used that much either way, so I don’t really think it would make a difference. If anything it would motivate crafters to level up their craft so they could edge in on the public orders.
I think you should be able to set crafting quality for public orders as well.

Imo, mmos are designed to waste our time as much as possible, not to save it.
Blizzard want us to communicate in trade, not just put order in the machine.
There is also public orders limit for crafter, 1 per day atm. Many orders would wait a long time since there are much more customers than crafters.
Exactly, I dont understand Blizzards thinking behind this.
I used public orders for levelling multiple times on multiple alts this expansion. There were plenty of folks who just wanted “something” for their profession tool or for pvp (since the quality matters less). I’m ok with public orders not allowing a min quality. We have private orders for that and that works pretty fine for me so far. I’ve done a few “test” public orders with weaker mats and then hit up the crafter afterwards to set up a private order with better mats and that’s been really useful for my alts so far.
I do think if they did allow min quality on public orders they should enforce that all mats and reagents are max quality for those orders. There’s nothing sillier than seeing someone post an order up with r1 and r2 mats/optional reagents saying “max quality only pls”.
