Why cant we have human shamans?

human shamans literally exist in real life…but is too much of a stretch for a fantasy game??

You do have human Shamans. They are called Kul-Tirans.

New shamans need new assets created in the form of new totems. Same reason we don’t get more paladins (need a mount) or druids (need all their forms)

You can, Kul’tirans

Why do we need human shamans?

This isn’t real life.

The original reason: their culture wasn’t rooted in such practices.

The current reason: Blizz hasn’t gotten around to it yet.

Because variety? Also because Blizz once said they planned to do all class/race combo?

The real answer:

We will get Human Shamans, and a bunch of other unlocks in Midnight as we travel to Arathor, the home of Arathi (human) Shamans.

My best guess, lore wise, is that being cursed with the Old god curse of flesh cut them off from their Titan construct origins and their connection to the earth of Azeroth they were forged from. However this does not explain Dwarves who are the same origin but unlike humans and Gnomes CAN connect. Then again, so can Goblins, the most money and power hungry race besides Orcs who can ALSO use it?

Reasonably Blood Elves, Orcs, and Goblins should be considered Dark Shamans, since they’re the sort to twist and demand the power of natural forces.

Really it’s just fast and loose lore honestly.

they never said that lmao imagine a demon hunter being other than a elf

exactly…so why not actual humans?? i need to play human shaman for pvp… y’all dont understand.

yeah, bit odd that dracthyr in ~1 year can learn the ways of a warlock, but kul’tirans who’ve mingled off/on with humans for decades haven’t spread shamanistic ways - to say nothing of the Draenei who have been with the alliance for years, too. Though, the human cultures in wow are a bit less primal in their beliefs, so I can see that side.

darn Little Neltharion’s Urban Achiever’s and their amazing brains…

Once upon a time shamans were only available to the horde and paladins were exclusive to the alliance. The alliance didn’t want nothing to do with our savage, wild magics. It should have stayed that way.

The humans in-game are Stormwind humans.

This is the most plausible answer. Hell, for Shaman’s “Totemic” hero talents, the big fat special totem they get isn’t even a scaled up version of their racial totem, it’s some generic Highmountain-esque piece of garbage.

I couldn’t imagine it takes a ton of effort to model a couple new versions of a stick.

So Kul Tirans aren’t human ? So the only people you consider human are the fit ones who looks like models, if they aren’t fit they aren’t human ?

Wow
