here’s the great thing about flying, friend.

if flying is enabled in undermine, then you get the choice to stay on the ground!

the ability to fly does not affect you in the slightest!

i am unsubbed, still have a couple days left on the sub

gonna let that run out since no flying in undermine, don’t wanna deal with the hassle of dragon riding ground mounts that i dont care about.

everyone kept saying “oh undermine isn’t built to accomodate flying.”

but i’ve seen undermine and there’s TONS of space in the air for people to fly, so i’m just curious as to why there was no flying allowed in undermine?

I had the 3 month subscription and mine doesn’t run out until April 30, but I also cancelled.

yeah its unfortunate… it seemed as though we had moved past the whole “we want to stop you from flying” stubbornness… but i guess not, oh well.

maybe i re-sub when they put flying in undermine or maybe im just too busy playing Fellowship (since that game respects my time)

I doubt you actually care about context, but they talk about it in this interview if you’re interested: MrGM Interview with Ion Hazzikostas and Maria Hamilton - Wowhead News

  • When they designed undermine, it was specifically designed that way.
  • The ‘skybox’ is very Goblin and wouldn’t hold up as well if you were flying.
  • The D.R.I.V.E. system fits so much better with Undermine.
  • I wouldn’t expect Flying in Undermine.

designed to not have flying?

log into your character, go into undermine and just point your camera up.

then tell me that you think the zone isn’t able to accomodate flying, thanks friend

I thought you weren’t playing the patch without flying? You’ve been to Undermine?

I guess they probably decomposed a little bit more than before? I’m not totally sure what’s left of them at this point.

yes you can fly all the way up until you get into undermine, i stopped playing once i got into undermine and there was no flying… you are correct.

tell me that undermine isn’t able to accomodate flying, please and thank you friend!

Haven’t made it there yet, but happy to reiterate what the devs have said once I get there for you.

Man, I will need to be prepared for 10 threads, everyday, of why no flying. The rest of us are going to be racing.
