Why can't we dual wield?

I got 2 decent daggers the other day and figured I'd equip them instead of my staff (that's already transmogged into 2 daggers so I can have my cat form). But I was surprised to see that we STILL can't dual wield!

We've seen druid NPCs wield dual daggers since Vanilla! Feral had 2 daggers as our freaking artifact! Guardian dual wielded fist weapons! And currently, very few specs even USE daggers or fist weapons when they drop. Why not let another class be able to use them? It seems like a no-brainer to me.

Why haven't they given us the ability to dual wield?

I realize now that the answer is that Blizzard is too lazy now to find a way to balance weapon choices for individual specs. EVERY class now only has one option of weapon to equip for each spec. No more choosing between 2h and 1h dual wielding anymore for shamans, warriors, death knights, etc.

Why should I expect them to put the work in for a druid spec? It’s just another example of how WoW’s pruning in recent years makes the game less fun. :frowning:

Why don’t you just transmog the artifact daggers? There is a bunch of cool options there. And it’s not like you’d see the daggers in combat anyways.

You never were able to dual wield. Ever. Even your artifacts were 1hd, they just LOOKED like they were 2hd.

Yes, I know. Hence, the point of this post. Druids dual wield in lore and even our artifact weapons display this. Why not just let us dual wield?

He’s not talking about the look of them. He’s talking about the functionality of them. He wants to use 2 daggers for the stats instead of running a staff/mace/polearm/dagger and OH.

He got 2 drops that were good. Both daggers. Can’t use both of them as actual weapons.

This isn’t a trasmog issue. I think you need to re-read the post again.

The issue being that Agi daggers/fist are on Druid’s loot table when they’re completely friggen useless. Afaik, there are no current level Agi OH items, which have restricted choice for Feral and Guardian in 2H weapons. Which has been the case for most of WoW.

Yeah, it’s be cool to dual wield the daggers/fists, but again, the issue is in the loot table, of which has been repeatedly reported for BFA, and simply ignored.

Which bosses drop Agility daggers for us? I haven’t noticed daggers on any loot table.

EDIT: Just checked the in-game loot tables again and there are no Agility daggers on the loot tables.

The loot table WQ, Emmisaries, and Invasions that is affecting the OP and other Druids.

Ie: There are sources other than dungeon/raid that give Druids useless weapons, such as the complaint from the OP and others. Just because you’re unable to view the loot table from these sources, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist…

Like, we don’t get 2H swords from our WQ for this specific reason, yet daggers are dropping…

I always thought druids should be able to use dual fist weapons, kinda makes ‘sense’ for feral and bear forms.
