They literally have a warlock thats following me around in Legion Dalaran cuz he wants me to do the warlock quests things.
He opens up a portal and pops out of it
why cant all warlocks do it ?
We were playing hooky on portal day of warlock school. They don’t do repeat lessons.

It broke mage immersion and to similar to their ports even though it was a glorified hearthstone.
Portal market dried up ages ago, no profit, no point in the class; risk management advisor courses offered more sweeter deals.
They can only teleport short distances.
They would need a greater understanding of telemancy and the arcane arts to create a portal or teleport long distances. But they are devoted to fel and other demonic magics.
Obviously you never had a lock port you or your buddies before. We know probably more about ports than mages trying to Dalaran Crater port in AV.

I play a Paladin and I can port to my bind location, Legion’s Dalaran, my garrison, and the Black Temple (if there is a critter around).
Summoning is different from Teleportation. Summoning is using fel magic and thus soul shards to fuel it. Also it is bringing someone to you, not creating a hole through space time to go to another place.
Its fundamentally different.
Maybe, but do you get signed over life insurance policies to you before each port? That is what makes it more impactful. Souls and Gold.
Because it would take 2 other people to do and no one would wanna click that

Outside of Warlock evil, yadda yadda. The Unending Breath+Flight Path Instant death at landing glitch is still in game 
wont share where and which FP it is still attached to, would take away the surprise when you land when a rando lock is near a FPath.
No but it is funny placing 5+ portals on top of each other as a mage and one of which is to Dalaran Crater.
Portal Roulette is fun.

You should come to my Classic Raid group Alliance side. We do gambeling in our runs in while pulling trash.
High-Low rolls. Example bet is 50g. Players joining do /roll 50. If player 1 rolls a 23, player 2 rolls a 39, player 3 rolls 42, and player 4 rolls a 8. Player 4 owes player 3 34 gold.
Very fun.

Ya its Classic though. Mankrik Alliance usually do it in our MC pug group hosted by my guild and ZG/AQ20 runs.

Even Shamans could teleport. Magatha teases your shaman for not being able to summon a portal
