Why can't these races play these classes? - Blizzard, fix this!

Blizzard doesn’t listen to us…

Classes that races should be able to play:

  • Vulpera Druid (Though I hate Vulpera this is pretty obvious.)

  • Zandalari Warlock (Vulperas are warlocks and you telling me Zandalari’s never heard of and learned how to be a warlock living on the same island?)

  • Undead Paladin (Priests can be undead, paladins can’t…???)

  • Gnome Paladin (You think they haven’t learned it from Dwarfs?)

  • Kul’Tiran Paladins (Ok come on, this pretty obvious too. Fat humans can’t be paladins?)

  • Kul’tiran warlock (Humans can be them, why not fat humans too?)

  • Pandaren Druid (They pretty in touch with the land, it would fit perfectly)

  • Goblin Monk (Really no reason why they can’t, I understand why worgen can’t but why not Goblins?)

  • Blood Elf Druid (A lot of people want this and the horde needs a good looking druid so, this fits.)

  • Orc Druid (This might work, as they can be shamans and are in touch with the land. We really need a good horde druid option…)

So far, that is my list. If there are any you think would be a good addition to the list, make sure to tell me down below. And tell me, if you could only pick one, which one would it be? I would personally pick Undead Paladin.

You forgot Worgen Monk, the only class that would let them use their claws.

honestly there isn’t any reason you can’t have zero race class restrictions.

“but muh lore”

bologna!

play DnD and you will realize any hero character can build an appropriate backstory that fits their race class combo. DnD has no race class restrictions neither should wow ideally.

so your whole argument for being a druid is ‘‘being in touch with the land’’?

Yeah I was going to add it but it really doesn’t fit. Monks use their hands, not claws. In order for this to work, it would need a new class…

Lore and culture, class/race restrictions are good for the game.

I think so, the race and class combo brings the class fantasy. But when Blizzard just ignores the lore and leave Pandaren not able to play as druid or Undead as Paladin. Just ruins it…

strong opinion on the opposite. have you ever played a full DnD campaign and made your own character from scratch?

wow is in 2 D by comparison in character creation “cuz muh lore”.

super lame.

Also wanna bring up that Trolls, another race that lives in the Barrens, can be druids but Orcs can’t…???

I’m sorry but no, some races definitely should have restrictions. Demon Hunter should remain locked to Night elf / Blood elf because Illidan is gone and there is 0 lore reason to make more of them. Lightforged Draenei Warlock just sounds supremely dumb. Orc Paladin as well.

I like lore race restrictions, just ruins the game if there isn’t any.

When did trolls start living in barrens?

they are island folk with loas to worship which help them connect with the druidic nature

Orcs not so much, to be honest I have never heard something as silly as an orc druid.

This is one topic I could never agree on, I think class restrictions for lore purposes is a good thing. There are SO many races now you can pick from I really dont think everything should be able to be everything.

I only oppose Gnome and Undead Paladins…

Gnomes are atheists; they do not believe in the Light, so they cannot become beacons of Light.

I would be OKAY if we had Void-Paladins (like regular Paladins, but they would be Zealots of the Void). Then, we can have Undead Void-Paladins. All their spells would be void-colored and such.

I’m surprised I hadn’t thought of Orc Druids… Orcs are very much people of the earth and very into nature and shamanism. Druidism and Shamanism I think are very similar.

Yeah, off the barrens. They have a city in the Barrens and level there. They stay at the island for like .2 seconds…

How the hell did you miss NE paladins? I mean what would be more fitting right now after the Horde invasion of their lands and the Night Warrior quest line then a NE Retribution Paladin!

Void Paladins??? So a shadow priest… Again, paladins would fit perfectly with undead and gnome. There is no reason they can’t. Whoever can play priest, I think should be able to do Paladin.

I agree, where are my Pandarin and Vulpera DH?

ye of little imagination I say. I’m curious where RPe’r generally stand on this stuff because lifting class race restrictions really opens up for some cool backstory.

a real world example people use is. “you don’t see jewish people eating pork now do you!”

this is also bologna. I know entire jewish congregations that eat pork.

culture is flexible. both in real world and fiction.
