It is kind of weird isn’t it? A afterlife built and ran by robots doesn’t allow robots unless they are first corrupted by old gods…
Do old god’s gift a soul onto things they infuse?

Trolls, Tauren, Pandaren, Orcs, Draenei, and probably a bunch of other races arose without Old Gods and their curse of flesh.
That we know of*
What evidence do you have none of the souls we meet in the Sadowlands weren’t robots in life?
Most of WoW’s creation story for races
Elaborate.
To be fair, the robots in SL were more akin to concept art which flesh and blood beings were inspired by.
Do robots seek an afterlife?
I figured they’d want to be recycled.
Bro just making up lore now
Most of wow’s races are titan prodigy least the ones we know of. The rest tend to be elemental beings.
There are exceptions but even now I think they are still the exception over the norm.
Alright, but that has nothing to do with what I asked.
I asked what made you think none of the souls we met in the Shadowlands were robots in life. The fact that Azeroth has a high number of ex-robots living on it doesn’t have anything to do with that.
Can robots even die outside of their processor core being damaged? They lose a body but their core’s still intact or data is intact they can just get a new body. I mean you gotta have a soul and not be some mindless machine to go to the afterlife. The robots running the Shadowlands were made in the realm of death so they don’t actually count, their subjects also don’t know they’re robots. Denathrius has quite the design for a bot though…rather than die and be revealed he’s able to be sucked inside his sword to recover… unless he’s flesh and blood that a robot was built to replace if the need arose?
They all have backups… so in theory their memory could be copy pasted in the same manner they are installed.
They had constructed bodies, but they had souls. Robots don’t have souls. They’re not life entities.
Well that’s not quite right. The afterlife is run by the souls of living things who are placed inside a robot. For example, Pelagos was a living mortal who died and his soul ended up in Bastion. When a soul was needed to animate the arbiter he volunteered.
I wonder if that was actually the right move… you could make a new arbiter in theory since each other covenant leader could be copied.
Well from what we saw, the way the Externals were made is that a soul of a former living person was put into a robot.
It can be argued that humans are biological robots.
That’s one massive plothole in SL, technically the new Arbiter was made by the Eternal ones from their anima when Zovaal went rogue as the original, however… the machine that MAKES new Eternal Ones and even Arbiters didn’t break till halfway through Zereth Mortis, so at any given time they coulda just said: “Oh there’s a machine in ZM that replicates Eternal Ones, would you like to make a new Arbiter?” …so either the Eternal Ones aren’t aware of it or…
Arent the gods of shadowlands, including j’lor, constructs?
fortunate son playing in the background as I have a bad bad flashback
