Why can't raids be five man dungeons?

What if instead of thousands of man hours on content a minority plays or enjoys, they just added a “raid” difficulty to dungeons. Giving so much extra time to work on quest design, classes, pvp, pet battles, all the other content?

I have no idea maybe because of the scale of the “story”?

You’re fighting these huge villains who are immensely powerful than your regular wanna be bosses in dungeons so more people are needed I guess.

??? We can already says dungeons are raids for 5 man.

Raids are the pinnacle of collaboration with your guild. They always have been and that’s how they should remain. Dungeons are a small taste of what the world has, but raids are where the big bads are. Not to mention the mechanics would have to be simplified, and I’m always against simplification of mechanics.

Yeah, I’m sure the encounter design team is the same as the quest design team, which is the same as the pet battle team. So clearly reducing the work of one will make the other content increased.

or, you know…nope.

Never, ever advocate for the removal of content. Are you nuts?

You mean kind of like FFXIV?

Idk. I just don’t like the raiding structure of WoW. I kind of wish the bosses were more like dungeon bosses. And you could make them harder with keys.

I think raid boss fights imho take too long to kill sometimes
