Why can't OLD content be left as it was?

Why do we have to feel like we are playing in a ‘holographic’ ‘multi-dimensional’ gear leveling world where you gear never counts? In our current DF my gear does NOT count! Why did I even bother to level up?

What?

Please explain this one

Soooo, you’re saying you feel the same power in DF zones at your current ilvl, as you did when you first hit lvl 70?

Your post is just very confusing, and I’m not sure the point you’re trying to make. And it’s not Sunday yet

Why is this super powerful relic useless in a following patch?

For old content to be left as it were the game would need vertical progression, not horizontal.

And sadly enough, we were quite close at getting something vertical with chromie time but then the devs just dropped the ball by stopping it at 50, and then dug up the damn hole they just filled by raising the level cap again in DF…

Keep the level cap at 60, let chromie time exist at 60. If you must have a level reset each expansion, just put players at level 50. No fancy scaling, just straight up say “everone above 50 is 50 now”.

Absolutely. Edit: My point is it feels like you are in some strange world of ‘star trek’ when you go back to an area that the mobs are 30% higher than they were. I know, I always watched the health of these mobs.
The health of mobs has increased 30% since I first encountered them.

Look up Holographics… pretty awesome you delve and delve and it never ends… then if there is multi dimensional, I feel like I put on new gear and am now in a new dimension where the ‘mobs’ are just as powerful. I hope that explains my point.

Not really sure I understand how the title of the thread relates to what you actually talked about

It sounds relative to me because I feel like the game changes … like multi-dimensional being all blended together or leveling ‘with you’ … it’s just weird to me now.
