Why cant normal humans be druids?

Are they not fat enough or something?

I just feel like the restrictions for classes are starting to make no sense.

Even a gnome druid, I COULD NAME MYSELF LITTLEBEAR, HOW CUTE WOULD THAT BE!

Gnomes - we need another healing class. As do Goblins. We have fewer than any others races.

Kul’tiran druids shouldn’t even be a thing. Wickerbeasts are an abomination, not real nature.

Humans can be, their called Kul’Tirans.

Imagine a mini goblin bear forum

The ears would be the size of AZ :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::rofl:

They can’t because they didn’t graduate from Druid School. They aren’t properly licensed.

“Oi, mate! You got a loicense fer that bearform?”

Or better yet - mechanical forms for MechaGnomes!

Heaven forbid some races have something others don’t. If Blizzard gave in to these boards every race would have every class option.

I’m sorry, but I like it when the game at least tries to hold on to the remaining lore it has.

A transformer Mechagnome class (druid) would be the coolest thing ever

to what grumbles said and yourself ( I suck at forums and cant quote properly ) …

I agree it would mess with the lore, but perhaps mechagnomes could be my saving grace

A little mechanical gnome bear would be awesome

It was never a part of the culture of humans from Lordaeron and Stormwind. Gilneas barely had it in their culture, they just had some crazy hermits that could grow plants really well.

stormwind humans are completely faithful to the light worship not related with nature shenanigans or wild gods

These are your reasons right here, pretty much. Druidism in WoW comes from a deep connection to nature, either through natural affinity supplemented by the teachings of Cenarius (night elves and tauren), a slight natural affinity enhanced by a natural-leaning “curse” (worgen), or a natural affinity supplemented by reverence of wild gods (trolls).

Basically, “normal” humans (I.E., the mainland kingdoms of Stormwind/Lordaeron/Arathor) moved away from nature-worship wholesale many many generations ago, and replaced it with worship of the Light. A few pockets existed, like some Gilneans (who were sequestered from other Gilneans, who were themselves sequestered behind the Greymane Wall until the Cataclysm), but even they didn’t have the relevant connection until they were afflicted with the Worgen curse, which carried with it the essence of the wild god Goldrinn (Lo’Gosh), deepening their attachment to the natural world.

It basically mirrors how Christianity overtook druid paganism in Europe; a few pockets remained where mainstream “society” didn’t intrude as much (like Drustvar, where the purer bloodlines of the progenitors of humanity still dwell away from more cosmopolitan locations), but for the most part, “polite society” had replaced the more primal connection that the people had with the land around them.

Under the cities lies a heart made of ground, but the humans will give no love.

Have you seen what humans have done to Earth? No wonder Azeroth doesnt have human druids

looks at Night Elves

Yyyyea, that’s it.

If they’re made of wood, then they are the MOST nature based of any of the druids. They are what all druids aspire to be.

BE THE TREES!

I’d rather even gnomes could become druids than kultirans

Humans as druids is a travesty, sacrilege, heresy and whatever other words can be used to describe such an awful thing

Is it really that bad of a thing? You can be any class and race combo in D&D, the grandfather of all RPGs.

Want a half orc Paladin? Sure.
Tiefling Cleric? Yep.
Human Druid? Classic.

Your character in WoW doesn’t represent your ENTIRE race. Orcs are not in tune with nature as a culture, but maybe a small group or even just Your Orc has learned the importance of being connected to nature and decided to become a Druid.
