dadgar does this allot with the staff raven form, why cant normal mages just polymorph themselves into… lets say… a duck… for example…

Because Polymorph is the most powerful heal in the game.
That sounds like an extremely awesome skill check in pvp. Down with spammable CC! If you have no target by the end of your hex, polymorph, etc, you cast it on yourself. The best players will counterplay by canceling the cast in time.

A druid in DnD can Wildshape into an animal and still have their intelligence intact.
A wizard polymorphing into say. A t rex? They’d have the intelligence of a t rex. One wizard in Critical Role kept changing into animals just so he couldn’t be depressed for a bit lol

Not what I bloody mean. I’m talking about game rules versus whatever the heck other things do. I brought up dnd because I kept laughing at the idea of WoW mages turning into ducks only to have others find out they’d be stupid like a duck
