Pre 9.1.5 my 219 feral in nighthold was a slog. She hitting all those oh crap mechanics that happen when the boss goes you bore me.
Hell even the dreadlord in NIghthold literally says that as you go freaky vision mode.
NIghthold is not, to me, a very nice place for dot’ers. and that was with the lego for 1 min cd on convoke.
MY BM hunter never saw that. same ilevel 218/219.
edit: haven’t hit it since patch to see if better.

I don’t really think Blizzard did much in the way of tuning. The Heroic bosses I did felt like they did when I did them before tuning. 
It is sad that we can’t enjoy old raids like we used to, I used to farm old raids weekly during dry content spells. Now I just don’t bother logging in.

also, i assure you getting 240+ was a lot harder than doing two rotations into a green training dummy while dodging one spike…
Hitting 240 is easy if you have a raid group, yet takes a couple weeks easily, I mentionned I just made my character 2 days ago. I don’t have a raid group not because there is none in my guild just because I don’t have time to raid 9 hours a week with them. Gearing up to 240 without that is a lot harder and longer.

Welcome to the forums where if you try to explain there could possibly be a issue with a element of it. All the pro-blizzard players will all jump you at once, and tell you it is YOU not the game.
Also so everyone knows Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed as much, noting that the lack of Corruption gear will make the players feel a little weaker, but the rest should be equal, and you should be able to solo the same content you did after the squish as before:

That work is still ongoing. When it’s done, you’ll likely feel a bit weaker due to Corruption’s removal (8.3 content tuned around Corruption will be rebalanced, but the rest of the game wasn’t built with that in mind) but otherwise you should be able to solo what you could at 120.

Still, the level squish is a bad scaling system for lower level solo farming content. It’s stupid and should be fixed, Whatever Ion Hazzikostas said we can solo that content only with good gear. Also these pallies should try and solo Gul’dan Mythic and comeback to me after they reached 20% health and bubbled.

Company is going through lawsuit/major changes. Doubt they’re looking into how a fresh 60 can solo old content. Just being real here. You want an answer you got it.

he said we should be able to. They did not take in how some classes are easer to solo with or how some mechanics take some prep time to get through.
It’s worth noting that a few fights in Antorus, while not completely impossible to solo, are extremely difficult to do so right now.
Imonar the Soulhunter on heroic and mythic casts his Sleep Canister ability on you every 8 secs starting about 8-10 secs after the fight starts - and it lasts for 12 secs.
So if you can burst him down to start phase 2 (66%) in that 8 sec window, you can solo him quite easily because he stops casting Sleep Canister at that point.
Certain classes or races might extend that window with abilities like Tremor Totem of Will of the Forsaken.
Varimathras blocks all healing if you don’t stand near another player so you’re gonna have to kill him before he kills you - some classes will have an easier time than others for sure.
The Coven of Shivarra gets a 99% damage reduction buff if they are close to each other, and unlike Hyrja and Heimdall, there is never an opening to DPS, so unless you are a pet class (or get some really good use out of spells like Earth Elemental), it’s not going to be possible to solo at this time.
And of course there’s Aggramar, that isn’t mechanically impossible to solo - but you need some pretty insane DPS to get him down before he knocks you off the platform.
All of these problems is really just a matter of out-gearing it enough, so I doubt Blizzard will change these mechanics - eventually we will be able to one-shot Aggramar anyway.

congrats on not knowing much about how this game operates. You didnt have to be a top tier raider to run legacy rated content in the past. It was possible for a fresh alt to hit level cap then go run 2 expansion old content, right up untill the point everyone got reset to lvl 50.

yet in the past, before squish, doing legacy content you’d be doing a million dps, the bosses essentially had mechanics deleted as they werent there to be a challenge, they were there to drop transmog and maybe a mount after 500 tries. Also the gold from all the gear they drop. A quick 1000g for 5-10 mins in firelands sort of thing. Like a 3 million damage aimed shot on arthas ICC forcing him into the end cut scene immediately. That is what legacy used to mean

I don’t think it’s likely they’ll go for the demotivated debuff yet on Legion content. The power of corruption + the debuff was some perfect chaos in BfA.
Guess is it’ll come in patch 10.0
Once upon a time We were able to easily solo old raids, fun times and than Ion and his team came and decided that old raids should take a long time to do and require group in some cases, what a genius isn’t he ??

Okay, i killed the guy exactly 1 minute and 59 secs as outlaw, but yea, i see where OP is coming from. The Boss or i think the adds hit pretty hard, and they nearly got me down to like under 50% a few times.
