Why cant i find this name?

I wanted the name “Sinister” on ANY realm but i checked every single realm but it seems its not available anywhere, does anyone know the best way to find someone to sell me it (for gold) or could i make a ticket for one thats not been active?

You can just use a different name

Send mail and ask, but there’s up to a 90 day period before someone else can claim a name.

A GM cannot take someone else’s name and give it to you.

You do you I guess, but personally I don’t get having a name that’s…not even a name. I’m not saying there’s not somebody out there named that, but I’ve never met or heard of one. My characters have names (even if they’re unusual looking), not gamertags, but maybe I’m just weird. :man_shrugging:

Believe the 90 day period is only if theyre above a certain level, i know people hold names on like lvl 1’s to sell

im surprised its taken everywhere. on the smaller servers you can still get 2-3 letter names even.

I have a level 1 holding the name Naughty on a server i don’t play anymore, you can have that if you like :blush:

*even if you find someone willing to give away the name it sounds complicated. implies some level of trust and a waiting game.

Yeah, it’s an unsupported transaction so there’s really no recourse if you lose out there.

Maybe worth considering thinking of something more original? There has been times I’ve wanted a certain name, but it was taken then I found a name I like even more then the original name I was planning on going with.

According to an armory search, there are 89 characters that have the name “sinister”.

I bet it’s one person with multiple accounts that blocked off the name. It’s the only logical explanation. :slightly_smiling_face:

I get great names occasionally because the previous owners fell off the face of the Earth. I’ve recently acquired Allen, Myron and Martouf.
