Turtle WoW devs actually are passionate fans of Classic that PLAY THE GAME and knows what the classic community wants… world of warcraft is blizzards IP… but yet these private servers are doing a better job than them?
I really think they should just be lazy and literally copy and paste from Turtle WoW because honestly after seeing the “leaked” list I have no faith that they even understand what classic+ is. Please just copy from Turtle WoW and dont touch the game urselves /beg

Blizzard Classic team seem like nice folks, im sure they mean well but their hearts arent in wow enough to peovide that level of depth and quality.
Not saying TWoW is perfect, but its certainly superior to SoD.

The point of classic+ would not be to just vanilla.

turtle wow isnt just plain vanilla its a continuation of classic that keeps the classic atmosphere and core principles. THATS WHY THE NAME IS CLASSIC+ u people just want sod 2.0 / retail go play that

There are a lot of things on that server that would be nice to have in a theoretical Classic+. But I hope they stay away from transmog.
to many people classic means vanilla & tbc.
wrath is too advanced to be called classic despite it being 16 years old exp.
cata/mop and onward is no longer wow! they are fun expansions but feels like a whole different game.

Bro most of these forums would literally call turtle wow retail.
Most of the dummies on these threads like zaalg and ban world buffs literally just want a relaunch of 2019 with like two new quests that reward gold.
No new items, no new zones, no balancing, no skill changes, no new mobs, no new dungeons.
They want era… Just… again.

Thats likely to involve blizz admitting they cant do it themselves.
Thats why we got the inferior version, classic minus, with sod and not the classic plus that thousands are playing right now.
Ironically enough, they literally got that before we got classic plus with fresh progressive anniversary
The survey they sent out (not to me) was 90% twow. The questions were a scrape of many of the primary features.

Yes and a lot of them were for fun optional features like tmog or pet battles.
For some of the more significant gameplay questions they didn’t give any details.
IMO they should have like:
About 6 permanent Vanilla servers
About 8 permanent TBC servers
About 12 permanent Wrath servers
About 12 Classic+ servers which are seasonal and reset every 12 months or so, and test out new rules, classes, races, and talents.
Altogether it would be less than the current 43 (forty three!) low-pop Classic Era servers that just sit empty and consume resources to provide fun for like 1 or 2 people each.
can u go on era and look for urself? Org is packed rn. go on the whitemane pvp cluster
Blizzard isn’t going to “copy pasta” what Turtle WoW did. There are all kinds of technical and business problems with this…
The main problem with Classic+ is that it essentially means “Your wishlist for stuff added to the game”. It is not a coherent idea and there is very little consensus on what should or should not be in the game.
For every person who wants the new models and updated graphics there is another that is turned off by that idea. That is just one example among many.
If I was on the Classic dev team I’d want to take the game in a fresh direction instead of slathering on the wishlist. Make a new expansion that is set in the “classic” Azeroth and stories and double down on the things about Vanilla that make it a game people have wanted to play for 20 years.
