I just don’t understand why Blizzard cannot seem to make plate DPS gear that’s on par even just slightly worse than leather? They did a decent job with Mail vs Leather in Phase 1, but now that there’s leather, mail, and plate in Phase 2, it looks like plate is simming significantly behind compared to leather and even mail with caster stats on it.

Every other class should want Warriors to have their own gear they want instead of taking everyone else’s gear. Unfortunately, Blizzard can’t seem to build it right.
Alas, I guess I’ll be taking the leather I need from the Rogues and Druids and the mail I need from the Hunters and Shamans as per Classic.

Expect all of their gear to be Plate for Max armor despite Hunters/Shamans/Druids/Paladins/etc all having to downgrade gear armor for stats too?

(Especially hilarious when you realize that their only competition for plate gear is… each other and maybe Paladins.)

Everytime someone disparages warriors for wanting this just fuels my desire to roll need on the rogue/feral/hunter/shaman gear. Y’all should want this just as much as us, but I’m happy to roll on plate as well as everything else so I’ll be eating good regardless lol

This gets all the funnier when you realize the Shamans didn’t actually GET a weapon in BFD raid. Not one.
Best we could get was a rogue dagger. (which is crap for shaman…)
Warriors over here complaining “how come the plate gear doesn’t gimme everything I need, wahhhhhh”

Blizzard created this problem when they should’ve just itemized plate from the start and restricted plate classes to… Plate.
Same with mail for Hunters.
Blame Blizzard for extremely poor planning.

lol the only crying I’m hearing is coming from you. And the crying will continue when warriors are winning rolls on your BiS. Like I said, I’m fine with rolling on everything cause it’s not me that it hurts

Everyone knows funneling gear to your warriors in order to blast through the raids is going to be the endgame anyway.
However, as the situation is now, all good leather and mail with decent warrior itemization will get funneled to warriors. Everyone loses except for the warriors. Without GDKPs to keep me from getting the loot, its going to be rough times.
Will PUGs accept that Warriors will be rolling on leather/mail gear?

Pretty sure a warrior started this thread crying that Plate gear isn’t their DPS BiS…(Despite everyone except Clothies and Rogues having that same issue. And some classes not even getting BiS weapons in the current content.)

MS > OS doesn’t mean armor class, and you best believe I’ll be using my reserves on BIS leather if I have to.
Sorry Druids, Hunters, Rogues, and Shamans, but if Blizzard makes leather my BIS for the phase, I’m going to get that loot. And since you whiners banned GDKPs, you can’t stop me from getting your loot funneled to me.
Because there is no way to itemize it where warriors don’t just get all the benefits of extra armor without any trade offs.
Personally I wish loot was armor locked, but that ain’t changing.

But Blizzard won’t change it now. The issue is firmly on Blizz, not Warriors.

I mean, warriors could accept doing .1% less damage to make sure the entire raid gets geared.
But we all know that won’t happen. They insist on spending 1.5 minutes getting rage on a boss fight that takes 30 seconds

Right, but they aren’t going to do so while the game and Icy Veins tells them it’s possible and profitable (in terms of player power) to get leather.
This could easily be fixed by Blizzard. It creates friction between players in a cooperative environment for pretty much no real benefit.

I know. That is beyond warriors ability to critically think, hence why I said the problem won’t ever be resolved.

There’s no incentive for them to do so. Blizzard created raid encounters and cooperative group content that render a DPS Warrior’s armor useless, so DPS Warriors don’t stack it.
It truly is on Blizzard here. Let’s not give them a pass for awful work.
