Why cant 9.1.5 just slowly be hotfixed in?

Updates to make the game fun take too long. Makes me wonder why we pay a subscription…

id be doing something like leveling an alt right now but you are crazy if you think im doing a 3rd renown grind. Id rather just play a game that’s fun and doesn’t waste my time on purpose.

WoW is the most FtP game ive played in a long time.

You are right it is mostly just a bunch of hotfixes that should have been in 9.1.

Releasing it this way will allow them to justify releasing 9.2 in the spring of 2022, rather than in a reasonable amount of time.

Enjoy your 6-month sub mount, you get 2 weeks of Legion Timewalking some time in November.

It’s probably easier to just do it all in one go.

They want to save something for that FF14 Endwalker release in November obviously.

Then they would have nothing for 9.1.5.

If it’s 9.1.5 they’re throwing at Endwalker it would be like trying to stop a train by throwing a pebble at it.

They need to make it look like a patch, rather than a bunch of changes that should have been hotfixed in during the beta when testers told them they would be problematic.

Don’t forget we were told not long ago that blizzard was unable to make use of beta tester feedback, because testers hadn’t given them what they were looking for. Because they hadn’t been told?

No way in hell they’re waiting until November for 9.1.5.

I think you are mistaken because Blizzard has a 100% rate at releasing a patch in the same week that FF gets an expansion and 9.15 is all they have.

Not saying you are wrong because they definitely do this but releasing a little to no content patch like 9.1.5 trying to compete with a new expansion launch is rather pathetic.

You knew what you were doing.

You’re not wrong, but when you’ve only got a pebble to throw…you’ve got nothing to gain and nothing to lose. In comparison, however, I would say that calling what they have a pebble is extremely generous.

Gotta drop that micro patch (that makes the game what it should’ve been at launch) to play against their competition. Tons and tons of people already left. They shove these “big changes” in at a specific time and they probably think they have more chance to bring people who left back.
Idk. No idea how their internal choices work. It’s frustrating, when they seem so focused on changing things that don’t seem to matter.

It’s one of those pebbles that gets in your shoes, the kind that you can’t stop working or doing w/e it is you’re doing, so you shake it to the front of your shoe and forget about it until you get home and then take it out and throw it away.

I hate those kind of pebbles. They’re the worst.

But you really see the effects right now. It’s a Saturday night and my realm, which isn’t ever really phased in main hubs, is crz’d in Oribos and elsewhere. Sorry, other rp realms.
