Fungal Folly and I’m healing. Idiots keep standing in the spore explosion and instantly killing themselves. We hit the halfway and have 3 lives left but everyone leaves without saying anything. I’m given the leader crown and think “whatever” and keep going just me and Brann. A few minutes later, the Party leader returns into the Delve (I guess we’re still in external Party) and it gives him the crown, and then he boots me from the group. The Party leader then gets to continue the progress I’ve made while I get sent to the nearest graveyard. What kind of nonsense is this?!

That is strange. It almost seems like everyone should be able to continue in their own instance of the delve. I guess the cloning of the delves would wreck the server maybe.

So you’re saying it’s fine if YOU keep the progress from others but it’s not fine when others use your progress? For logical consistency the group should have been completely disbanded and everyone forced to start over.
Dumb argument aside, just solo the solo content please, this is crazy my guy.

why are the grouping period? delves are a push over right up to 11
It should be like dungeons where if someone leaves, the lead transfers and the rest of the group can continue. I did just try Bountiful 8s solo and - my god - it is significantly faster and easier to only heal myself and Brann.
Maybe there’s a way to completely leave the actual group while you’re in a delve and continue? I don’t know.
Maybe for you. Not so much for me.
I group with guildies for the fun of it. But pugging a Delve? That’s insanity to me.

Group delves, huh.
I’ve pugged a number of delves. It used to make them much less of a slog. But, now with tank brann and some tweaks to how delves play out, it’s not as much of a big deal. They’re much more doable at higher tiers now. I get my 3 T11s in and push for 5 more 8s when I have time in order to fill out my vault. I used to absolutely despise doing that, but the rewards are now better for the drudgery you have to subject yourself to when doing delves. Using addons to shut brann up goes a long way as well.

To answer this, maybe they didn’t “steal” progress. Maybe the game’s bugging out.

Honestly why do you left of bell curves continue to insist on doing delves with randos?
FFS just go do it yourselves. It’s easier solo or with a trusted partner than randoms. You don’t even have to care about lives if you’re smart and avoid the respawn point until you get to the last boss since no matter how much you die, the respawn point gives you +1 life making you eligible for loot.
I’ve had friends I’ve taught the same things. They started off wanting to security of a group but quickly found the people wanting to do groups for delves are left of bell curves and absolutely NOT the people you want to be grouping up with in the first place.
Run Brann as a healer, learn to stagger pickup potions to refresh the HOT, don’t do big boy pulls, and you’ll get through it. Honestly you can pretty comfortably clear t11 delves 30+ ilvls under the suggested number.

What next? Solo raids?
Having only recently starting really looking at Delves, it didn’t even occur to me that you could queue for them with other players. I know, not smart, but I thought it was something you either did alone or did with guildies or friends. I guess I should have looked at the group finder but, as I say, it just never occured to me.
I’ve only done maybe 3 runs with a friend, the rest of the time I’m doing them alone (if you don’t count Brann). Then again, I am at a low level atm, havent done over 4.
So has anyone else experienced this thing of a player leaving and then being able to come back? It does seem strange for that to happen, and very strange if its a deliberate design.
When someone Leaves Group, they are ported outside of the Delve. However, if you yourself are inside the Delve, you can only see the Delve party (which includes Brann) and not the Party party, so it’s difficult to even know. I thought the group disbanded which is why I continued solo, but apparently I was still in the external Party party, and that guy was still lead, so he was able to boot me from my own Delve, which is stupid AF.
Why are you even pugging delves?
