why can all other gathering professions have 10 tags before they disappear but mobs that I went around to collect and kill myself without any help and someone swoops in a skins them while I’m still in combat and all the corpses disappear…why is that a thing
The only time I’ve had that happen is when I didn’t tag it any the skinner was the opposite faction. I don’t think I’ve ever had a situation where I had a skin stolen from a kill I made.
Did you loot them? Their bodies should stay put until you do. I make sure not to loot them until I’m ready to skin them.
But you’re right skinning has had some wonky behavior when others that are not in your party are skinning.
Best thing to do is to gather as many details about the situation you can and send a bug report.
um…good question
I don’t remember if it was horde or alliance I’m pretty sure it was same faction, Horde.
and In the midst of all the mobs I might have looted which meant the mobs for free to skin? Not really sure how it works I just know that if someone is pulling a group of mobs and skinning them no one should be able to come in a take their skins especially if they didn’t tag them.
Feel like there needs to be a better system for this
So how it’s supposed to work is:
Once you (first person to hit the mob) loot a mob it becomes free for anyone to skin.
Any subsequent person tagging the mob will have loot on it but won’t block the first person from skinning.
The mob can be tapped five times before it disappears.
But something wonky is causing them to disappear after one tap, but only sometimes.
If you’re in a party it will persist and work properly. Everyone in the party can tap.
