This sounds like a common sense issue. Cats cannot ride horses. Humanoids can.

So, far above the paygrade of an Anon thread.

i can understand

this

but like why cant feral ride this one?

There is exactly as much evidence that cats can ride horses as there is that giant chicken men can.

Travel form should be able to ride mounts. So you can have a whole stack of Druids in deer travel form, one on top of the next, clear to the skybox!

What horse is going to let a predatory large cat onto it? I don’t think any horse would be cool with that situation. lol A Chicken man is far less threatening to a horse or most mounts, chickens are not predators.

Because u aren’t as neat looking as we are. Such neatness brings with it great privileges but also great responsibility.

Be warned, mon.

Bipedalism for the win - and ride - apparently

A Druid seems like the only one who could convince a horse to carry a tiger,

What horse is going to like a OWLBEAST ride on top of it?

That being said, does the moonkin form even have hands to hold the reins? lmao

I strongly disagree with you about your assessment on the power of chickens. They are omnivorous and will eat anything they can kill, and a rooster will attack a full size man. Now upsize that to 1,000 lbs.

Ok that’s cute as hell, but a house cat hardly compares to a feline the size of a lion.

WTF

As a side note, the flying carpet mount would actually be great for Feral.

Or we could get an attachment like the mystic runesaber has on it’s shoulders that gives it magical wings.

Saddles have two stirrups. Humanoids have two feet .

I’m basing this on the universal game design of every race being able to ride a horse.

But first, I’ll say that the main reason you can’t mount in either Feral or Bear forms is likely because they’d both have to be sitting up for it to work design-wise, and it would look entirely like something else if Feral Form was allowed to mount any of the Saber mounts, and Bear Form was allowed to mount any of the bear mounts.

If you’ve ever ridden a horse bareback, you know that-

  • Four legs, a long weight distribution and point of contact on the horse’s back (instead on a much smaller point of contact with faster changing of weight distribution), would greatly confuse the horse in attempting to understand what commands you were trying to communicate. (Go, stop, turn left, turn right.)
  • Polo ponies and Rodeo horses (Cutting, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending), are trained to primarily respond to weight-shifts by the rider (reining is 2nd.) The only type of riding where this isn’t the base-rule, is Dressage. Even Grand Prix Show Jumping is mostly the rider’s weight distribution.
  • Cats also have claws. This is just a giant disaster waiting to happen.
  • If Feral Form could walk upright on their hind legs, mounting would make more sense, but then they’d likely be a completely different race altogether.

I’m all-in on Cat People as a race in WoW.
