I see why they did it in the beginning because they did not have everything as personal loot, but now that everything is personal loot it’s a glaring flaw in the transmogrification system. Like how I cant learn any of the removed leather pieces I still have on my hunter, even if they are soulbound. i.e Dog Training Gloves, which have a unique appearance and you haven’t been able to get them since Cataclysm when they revamped Scarlet Monastery dungeon. Why should I, the player, be punished because Hunters had to use leather before mail back then and I cant learn the appearance. I can see them not allowing us to learn the appearance of BoE items, but at least allow us to learn the appearances of a soulbound item if the class can equip it.

I agree. Though I don’t see them changing it.
My gear on my Druid in Vanilla and BC was always mostly cloth, it wasn’t until the change in Wrath that I had to start using all leather. I’d like to look like my old gear sets sometimes, but that’s not an option. Even though I can still technically wear cloth…
