Why Can Horde Unlock Both 8.3 Allied Races On Their Mains While Alliance Can't?

Same. :relieved:

I was going to ask why you left backyard in lowercase, but nevermind. I get it.

Oh really. So you did the scenario involved to unlock them? No, you had to still get on a Horde to unlock them

I accidentally figured out how to post a reply in all caps.

I’m concerned but different strokes n’ all that in the end <3 Never been big on mechanical mounts to be fair but… shudder

I just wish they’d give me the last toy I need from their paragon already. :frowning:

Oh. It wasn’t intentional? It was funnier when I thought it was. :frowning:

Not pointless for those people who won’t buy an Allied Race via what amounts to be a microtransaction.

Well shux man now you’ve sparked my curiosity lol.

You still have to have an Alliance at 120 to do the scenario required to unlock the faction. You can get exalted on your Horde, but you wont’ be able to go into Stormwind to do the scenario.

I unlocked everything on my Horde last expansion, and I had to still have a 110 to do all the scenarios.

This expansion, I cheated a bit and just faction changed my shaman since I had everything for AR at exalted. I won’t need to do that this final time, cause I’ll have the exalted and then just do the scenario on my Alliance toons

It is because this isn’t a new process. I mean the Zand, Mag Orcs, Kul’Tirans and DI dwarves are all only able to be unlocked by reputation earned by a single faction.

I thought you left it like that as a funny censor, in place of a bad word.

This is why I play both factions and glad I do

Blizzard just assumes you have a Horde character in the pocket with rep grinded on it already. “How else did the alliance players unlock the previous horde allied races?”.

The more I look at it the funnier it gets. Anyway, I’ll let myself out lol

Those races were released side by side, requiring specific Faction-only rep grinds. That’s fine. This time, Blizzard’s releasing one Horde Allied Race that requires a Horde only rep grind, and an Alliance race requiring a Neutral rep grind.

In another words, when 8.3 launches, most active Horde players will already be ready for both quest lines… whereas active Alliance players will need to either faction change or grind a rep to Exalted as a Horde character. Doesn’t seem fair at all.

I guess, i mean he makes a valid point. Dont get me wrong any alliance person exalted with Orders of Ember can just pay 25$ and faction change quick. They then unlock vulpera and pay an additional 25$ to faction change back to alliance. Where as the horde just pretty much played BFA on atleast one toon and also unlocked flying and they get both.

Plus it doesn’t make sense for the Alliance to be able to unlock them. Pretty much our interaction with them has been negative, I doubt us attacking and burning their trader caravans left them thinking like we would make great friends.

I’ll be fine with that if Blizzard requires anyone who wants to unlock Mechagnomes to have grinded Rustbolt Resistance Reputation as an Alliance character - doesn’t count on a Horde.
