Why can a warrior use Cloth?

My Warrior currently wearing 2 pieces of cloth and arent even saved as transmog and I dont have such apperances. WTF such a waste. seems ill buy them in AH

It’s not your armor class dude. You can equip it but it won’t save as a transmog option.

it’s because of bobby

As Krad stated, your warrior’s ‘official’ armor type is plate, and it will be the only armor type you’ll be able to use appearances from for transmog for that character…even if you were to create another character that uses cloth. It would be nice if Blizzard were to lift those restrictions, but for now…it just ain’t so.

Further, just in case you weren’t aware, you can wear any type of armor as a warrior. Cloth, leather, mail AND plate are all allowed…however, all classes are afforded a bonus when they stick to wearing ONLY their specific type. In other words, you CAN wear those cloth pieces, but you are losing out on that bonus, and cloth affords you less protection anyway. As long as you wear those two cloth pieces, you will be taking a bit more damage.

is this the new meme?

I will never stop lobbying to be able to wear pants. Not jagged plate pants that stick out like goalie pads. I demand a simple pair of nice cloth khaki pants.

(I know there are Darkmoon pants, but they don’t match)

You’re a warrior not an accountant

It was an arbitrary limitation they decided to put in when we got the wardrobe to only let cloth wearerers unlock cloth, leather=leather, mail= mail, plate = plate. Mostly cause when they were testing the feature plate wearers initially could collect them all. Instead of making all classes work that way they decided to only limit yourself like cloth wearers did. (This really extends time played the way rng works, especially when they introduced personal loot mode and we didn’t have legacy loot mode).

Now you are expected to do the same thing like 4 times for the loots. Instead of all on one character.

Remembers wearing Devout cloth set on Holy Paladins, so what did blizz do they added an armor bonus if you wear all plate you get +5% Strength or Intellect.

  1. Scottish warriors went into battle wearing kilts. If warriors couldn’t wear cloth they might not be really warriors at all :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  2. At some point a warrior may want to get married and their fiancé might not approve of them showing up in plate.

You never see Conan the Barbarian wearing plate, so why should I have to?

I mean you don’t. Just hide all your armor

I have casual outfits for plate wearers, because it makes sense that they don’t wear armour 24/7, but it wouldn’t make sense that their plate armour appear like cloth shirts and pants. I use the equipment manager for one-click swapping.

You’ll waste your money if you buy them on the AH. Doesn’t matter how you obtain them, they still won’t be saved as transmog.

It’s not a bug, it’s intentional. You can only save transmog for your official transmog type, which for a Warrior is plate.
