I am very curious why blizzard makes new mounts without flying in mind. We all know that flying will be available every expansion at some point so why have mounts that can’t fly? it completely makes them worthless in my mind when flying unlocks in a zone and then you never touch a mount that you liked again because it can’t fly.

Before I would’ve said “because it usually makes sense when things can fly” but now we have a wolf that swims through the air.

I really think it’s about time that blizz adds a cloak enchant that adds a personal rocket pack to your cloak, so instead of needing a mount, all you do is tap jump twice and WHOOSH! away you go!

I was just thinking about this. If one has the Anglers’ water-strider from Pandaria unlocked, one can get water-walking mount equipment. So, why is there not mount equipment to make ground mounts fly? The Headless Horseman’s horse can fly. Why not my Thalassian Charger? I thought we were supposed to be good at magic. How hard can it be?

Because they don’t have pathfinder unlocked. 
I’d love for my Magic Rooster Egg mount to fly…I mean come on its a Rooster and it has wings…LOL

It’s nice to have mounts that don’t fly when you’re farming mobs. You can round them up easily on a ground mount. If you’re on a flying mount, hitting a small bump or incline can send you airborne losing aggression on all the mobs.
lol…we got water walking equipment so theres literally no reason whatsoever not to do the same with flight.
It amazes me every time this topic comes up …“i dont want all mounts to have flight” …so? dont use them? lol.

Exactly. The panthers from Mists fly. Theres no reason not to make flight equipment at this point.
