Why do most if not all of the player base call making the group stronger lust or hero when every class that has a “lust or hero” are named differently?
Because typing extra letters is hard.
Someone kept calling for LUST in LFR. We died so many times.
I still don’t know wtf lust means.
y use many word when few word do trick
Too many to remember?
I think Shaman is Heroism for Alliance/Bloodlust for Horde
Mage is Timewarp
No idea what the Hunter pet one is called, or the Evoker one
I want you to think about this every time you us the word “ur” and aren’t talking about the ancient Mesopotamian city.
It’s a hold over from a long time ago. Back when only Shaman’s had Bloodlust, so everyone just called it Lust.
Evoker is Fury of the Aspects I think, I don’t recall the Hunter one, Primal Ferocity?
“Ancient Hysteria” it used to be called when it was just Core Hounds that had it, but now I think it’s different.
“Primal Rage” or something like that.
No idea what the Voker one is called.
it’s about bevity. everyone knows what lust or hero is.
and if they don’t, time they learn.
Hero/Lust is what I usually say, it’s short, it’s simple, and if you know your class you’ll know what that means. If you’re a mage and don’t know that Timwarp is same spell as other similar spells I don’t know what to tell ya
They scream for lust but when you give it to them, they get all weirded out. Like, come on bro.
You’re asking why people use a short-hand, single vowel for a spell that multiple classes have different names for? I literally don’t even know what hunter or mage’s is called.
Idk why they bother giving what is basically the same spell, different names.
Immersion? Eh lol.
Everyone’s gonna call it Lust/Hero anyway.
Because calling it lust is correct, short and to the point, and everyone doing that content that you would need to call lust out, knows what it means.
Because decades ago there was only Bloodlust (Horde) and Heroism (Alliance). Then blizzard started adding the same spell but different names to other classes.
Why ask for heal when you could type out the spell name instead?
It refers to the original abilities that had the effect, Bloodlust and Heroism.
It happens with quite a few abilities. A lot of people will call all of the “make the enemy focus on you” abilities taunt even though only warriors actually have one called taunt.
Or interrupts are often called kicking, named after the rogue ability.
I appreciate that they at least put in the minimum effort to flavour them a little bit, even if they’re mechanically the same abilty.
This is correct.
This as well.
It’s all the same but it’s all lust. Unless you tell me to hero in a horde group, then I’ll know you’re a dirty double crossing alliance alt.
Indeed, all of those classes are named differently.
When I’m in a group and someone calls for heroism, I refuse to touch the button until they call it Bloodlust properly.
