Why bother leveling a new character now?

When it will be easier when the Xpac comes out?

I would rather level from 1-60, 70% faster than 1-120 at the current speed.

Thoughts?

Just don’t level a new character now then. Problem solved lol

I duno if your goal is to level a toon to play at max then do it now why wait. If your goal is to do it for fun then do it now or do it later.

Yeah I don’t see the problem here.

it’s truly is pointless to level or purchase a character boost for anyone who doesn’t want to re farm essences. alts are dead.

I have yet to level a allied race, but now I made a few but will wait til the change to level. I tried but the leveling now is just not fun for me. Waiting and hoping it will be better when expac changes leveling.

If your goal is to be ready at level 50 on launch, I’d say just do it, otherwise use your boost :woman_shrugging:

You clearly have not played classic.

Why now? So you can have a current content 120 and play it now rather than a year from now.

You ask why, I guess one reason would be that we still have many months before the new expansion and if you do it now then your new characters would be ready to jump into Shadowlands right away.

It depends on how you value the time. If it was a character I want to actually play, to me I’d rather waste twice the time now when we are in the boring back-half of an expansion than do it when there’s so much to do at the start of a new expansion. But if its just a “I should get around to that heritage armor someday” character, I may wait until later in Shadowlands.

Got to admit I have one sitting at I think level 42 and it’s going to stay there because of this. I’ll finish leveling her when 9.0 comes out.

This.
Next xpac won’t be out for 8+ months. There’s a new bfa zone and new bfa raid coming out before then, so whatever.

enjoi lvl 21. you’re foolish to think your won’t get scaled back appropriately

If you like leveling, go level, if you think it’s not worth it, don’t.

Personally if I like leveling, I’ll do it, right now though I’m burnt on it so I won’t be. Shadowlands leveling should help if they go with what they promised.

Oh I know she will, but I’ll still be able to get her to max WAY faster and she’s not a top priority now so why bother till 9.0 launches?

It’s probably not the greatest time to level from a practical standpoint, but I might finish at least one character before Shadowlands.

I like what they’re doing with the revamped leveling experience, it was sorely needed, especially for newer players. Somewhat shorter, and more coherent, with a starting zone that everybody can use.

You are assuming the time it takes to make a level will be the same in 9.0 A.D. it is now. My guess is it will take significantly longer to gain av level in 9.0.

They said it would be 60%-70% faster in 9.0 to level 1-50 than 1-120 in bfa. So seems pointless to even bother now.

I was thinking more 50-60

How do you know it will be 70% faster?
