So last night I was running the valentines dungeon and got some loot named “love rocket” it’s an item that’s a firework you shoot into the air. It also has the exact same icon as the mount picture. So why is that ok but “big love rocket” is not? Why even bother changing the name for the mount?

When your company is accused of things like having male staff steal female staffs breast milk out of the fridge at work, renaming a sexual innuendo is probably a safe and harmless move.

Because Blizz is being sued for rampant sexual harassment and getting rid of any references to male genitalia in game looks like they are doing something to improve the culture in court? Lmao.
Or just blame it on “woke culture”, that seems to be the easy thing to do.

it 100% is surface level stuff to point too in which to say “see, we care!” while not actually fixing the actual issues which drove them to this point in the first place. M$ sending the veiled warning about fixing the culture internally being their main priority leading up to the acquisition attests to this.

Yet they didn’t with the other items with the same name, just missing ‘big’ from it. They missed a lot of things if they were actually trying to do just that, which is why I call it all a fake outrage from some devs.
They also lied when they said they wouldn’t touch player models or ‘nerf transmog’ because they did just that when they updated female Worgen models - it made a bunch of transmog cover more up.
Wild allegations and claims. Could it be true? Yeah sure, but it doesn’t seem super likely.
They should just remove the mount at this point. Too many on one side too offended by it, too many in the opposite side who won’t let go of something so seemingly harmless.

Probably an oversight, rest assured all work will stop until the offending image and name are scrubbed from the code.
