Yeah nothing to do with the 9-14 other people and epics even more so.
When I ran with PvP communities Iâd get that rate. But running solo, both sides, especially on epic BG weekly week, itâs extremely difficult to get a win at all. When I see inexplicable things I pull up the board and sort on honor level and see why. The epics are just full of low honor levels doing the weekly but have no idea what to do.

and you canât kill the healers because there are like 3 others keeping that one alive

Something something sparks of life. Dunno, havenât bothered with the WPvP gear, honor gear has been serviceable, and Iâm conquest capped.

You have to upgrade that gear with Sparks of life at the upgrade person.

I mean, itâs the same way you got epic WPvP gear in season 1. The methods havenât changed from season 1 to season 2, only PvE gearing did.
No problem. Itâs pretty frustrating. Blizzard just refuses to give us any information on PvP stuff half the time and we have to figure it out for ourselves.
The first half of season 1 the upgraded world PvP gear was on the vendor. They changed it halfway through. So if you werenât here for the last half of the season you probably didnât know.
I will 100% agree the gearing this season is wildly and unnecessarily complicating.
WPVP gear: you buy the base pieces and go to the upgrader in the pvp room (or any upgrader, that ones just closest) and spend sparks of life upgrading those pieces. 8 sparks per week limits how much you can upgrade
Honor gear is out
Conquest gear is out
You can craft 450 pieces with tokens. You can buy the tokens from the vendor but you also get 2 free tokens by opening your first pvp box of the season, in it there will be a quest item that you accept and turn in in the PVP room in valdraken - it rewards 2 pvp tokens. You then * * takes a big breath * * also have to get your spark of whatever by completing 2 weekly quests (max once per week) or by doing 1 weekly quest and progressing through your campaign to a quest that will let you turn in one splinter for 2 (2 splinters turn into the spark). Once thatâs done you * * takes another big breath * * can go to the crafter in valdraken and get a list of mats for one of the pieces where you also have the option of adding an embellishment to said piece. Embellishments can be bought in the auction house, as well as all the mats. You can also buy missives so you can choose your secondary stats. After that you * * out of breath * * you go to the crafter, add your spark, your embellishment, your missive and your PVP token and tip someone and theyâll send you your fancy 450 piece
You also get one free tier piece for hitting 1600 in rated PVP
All that being said, if youâre in full honor gear right now you wonât be dead weight to your team gear-wise. This week there is going to be a big ILVL bump for everyone because we will get our vault piece, a couple conquest pieces, a couple upgraded WPVP pieces, another crafted piece and the tier piece . Even if you donât have all that you can still be more than competitive in honor gear

At least itâs reminiscent of crafting a big piece of gear like in the vanilla-TBC days. Still itâs⊠hoh.
Itâs on Malicia (iirc her name correctly), not the smaller NPC next to her - which still has the season one gear for some unknown reason.
edit - Ah, I see. You meant the upgrade. Someone answered it, but that is how it worked last season as well.
Where do you get that?
You just get a token in your bags when you get 1600 and theres a vendor in that new area that sells them. Itâs not an upgrade of an existing piece either, itâs a full piece you can buy

Thatâs what Iâve heard. Not sure when the catalyst comes out, but Iâm gonna hold onto my tier token and hope for a piece of tier from vault
