I’ve seen a lot of cringeworthy posts on this forum, but this one really takes the cake. Complete lack of understanding how the add on works and an extreme knee jerk response to your own ignorance. WOW!

As a Rogue, Spy is such a non issue and is just a nice utility.

If you’re a stealth class and you’re looking to gank people. Stay in stealth! Problem solved, spy only picks up bad rogues/druids who are running around on their mount, see someone. Dismount and stealth and then act surprised when the target knows you’re there.

I might agree with the range limitations if the player render range was larger, but it’s not. Often times running mounted towards someone, or someone running towards you won’t actually show up until they’re ~50 yards away from you anyways. Which only gets worse with more players in the zone.

The addon has already been crippled from 150+ yards to 50, which is about the render distance while traveling fast in the world.

The addon now only affects rogues who use stealth as an opening rotation component, instead of sneaking in from afar.

Stealth outside of range, then sneak in. I see far too many rogues run up on an epic mount and spam stealth 10 yards away so they can get their opener, not the intention of the mechanic IMO.

You can’t render under the water from the road, or under the bridge from above, or in a tower from outside it!

This Add on allows that!

This isn’t all about Stealth! If i am on my Warlock and want to hide from Horde behind a building or in a tower I cannot! Because SPY pops up and tells them I am near.

If they are less than 50 yards away you are already dead. Did you play before the nerf? It was totally unplayable.

The add-on doesn’t tell you where a stealthers player is, only that a player has gone into stealth. The add-on is fine.

Then you should do that! I would be fine with you reading your combat logs…

I am not ok with you using an Add on to automate that process for you and pop up my avatar to target!
