Well I think it’s the same special sauce in general maybe for you it’s talents and pve stuff not arena but if you like nostalgia I think you just like old burgers XD. That’s ok though maybe more people like old burger than I thought. Personally I want TBC WOTLK pvp and game feel with raids even harder than mythic is now and with all brand new content. Guess I’m weird I assumed most people would love something like this. For the record I’m also no in love with micros I just know that it’s the way things are going and if you can’t beat them well you know the saying. The into way we get something this awesome is making blizzard rich and I think it’s possible. I think we can learn from decades of wow to create an amazing new MMO.
I think this guy has completely missed the point of just about every xpac of retail… and the point of classic to say the least.
Blizzard is already Rich though and theyve stated they have no desire to develop two MMOs at the sametime. The nice thing about legacy content is theres very little development/maintenance to be done to them.
Aside from that, if they were to develop another MMO someone else said itd be like 5 years before release. If its not starcraft or diablo theyd have to come up with lore players would invest in.
It’s not nostalgia, it’s just quality gameplay
You know what I mean if there is no insentive to make big money there is no reason to spend big money. They wouldn’t be developing 2 mmos at once TBC and all the old xpacks are done and shadowlands should be the end of retail it’s run it’s course.
@zapcannon I want that quality gameplay with new content that’s all. It’s better than quality gameplay and old recycled content unless you want nostalgia…
Money is money. Even if WoW remasters are one-offs, the ROI can be huge if done right like Classic.
And Blizz needs to mask the second half die-offs in retail WoW while keeping hope alive that some of the Classic/remastered WoW players will step into retail for a few minutes per month out of curiosity.
TBC WHEN?
I love how there is like, 4 people on this sub who keep making anti TBC threads.
We won’t care if you guys stay and afk in Ironforge for the rest of your life. We really won’t. Naxx will be cleared Day 1 by a LOT of guilds.
The majority will have it cleared within 2 weeks.
Then the countdown to TBc begins.
Think the OP needs to take his big wallet and mad l33t coding skills
and open up his own game dev house and amaze us with his killer MMO?
Or the countdown to world of Starcraft if blizzard is smart. Your post only proves my point once you consume the content you are done and since it’s old and you know it you will blow right through it. Much better to make a new better game that you can play for decades!
Wow is 15 years old, but has aged like fine wine. Open it up, let it rest, enjoy the smell, the dust falling slowly off the bottle getting caught in light… Slooowwllllyyy savour that first sip, then glass…
Minmax community: Smashes bottle on edge of table, throws face into broken glass and dripping wine, licks twice before raising their head and saying “omegalulz this wine sh$t taste like broken glass”
See, maybe not everyone, the reason a good number are on Private has to do with the idea of “fresh start” and so losing progression is moot. And it’s not like Vanilla servers are caught in the achievement, show off my rank routine. Ranks decay anyway.
Think of all the effort retail has with achievements for achievements and participation mounts and dailies and logging gets you a reward.
Remember when games had at best just a high score. If someone hit the reset button, 100 would be on that arcade machine trying to get their initials at the top again.
Your title should read Why Blizzard should abandon Shadowlands for TBC and Wrath
Right???
/10char
If you hit the reset button while i am on my 249th wave in Galaga
I’d cut your hand off and feed it to you.
I dont trust blizzard very much while paying a monthly sub. I sure don’t trust them, if their only source of income is a cash shop.
Made me think of Szechuan sauce.
Lol
Wasn’t it supposed to by now?
Or has it acquired that Star Citizen smell?
LOL ![]()
They won’t abandon BC or Wrath because they are EZ money grabs that they can throw together then set it and forget it, like they did here.
And while I had been really looking forward to both, I may well abandon BC and Wrath, for those very same reasons.
Look-another young person wanting free stuff ammirite?
