No. They made it to pre-alpha (friends and family) before Brad passed away. Still seeing updates from the team so I am hopeful they will see it through. Projections currently for release have been walked back to 2021.

Thatās what I want. I donāt want TBC+ or Wrath+. I just want Wrath just as it was before Cataclysm broke the franchise.
Yuck if we learned anything from classic it was you think you do but you donāt. Maybe not you personally but most people want improvements. A new MMO would be preferable but if they are just going to reboot TBC or WOTLK it should be #ALLTHECHANGES. scrap resil make new raids quests and content revamp the professions make the game better. If we want seprate TBC classic and WOTLK ok thatās fine but they should all be improved versions that constantly change to keep people interested.
You are being very liberal with the use of the word āmost.ā Everyone in my guild seems perfectly happy with the status quo. There are millions of players still playing Classic who are fine with the way things are. Theyāre just not here on the forums ranting or raving about it. A handful of vocal malcontents on the forums doesnāt qualify as āmost.ā

Ok fair neither one of us can prove what people want more so letās look at it based on merits.
Pros for no changes - nostalgia, they canāt make it worse
Pros for all the changes- learning from the decade since BC to make improvements, fresh new content to pull in new players not just old ones, PvE that is mechanically hard enough to entertain players from this day and age, fixing of systems like resilience that were obviously bad, making useless professions fun so you have more fun and relevant choices. Something as simple as adding better crafted gear would be awesome. QOL and graphical improvements. Removing well known bugs and exploits thatās were less known then. I think the spirit of no changes is not actually no changes itās making all the changes so the game feels closer to how it did the first time. So instead of another play through of old stuff we get a new play through of a new improved TBC. And yes it should have tokens and a mount shop etc.
Which of these āprosā applies exclusively to Classic and not to Shadowlands? The game you want already exists. Why are you trying to ruin the game that the rest of us want when you already have what you want in Shadowlands?

No I donāt while I have not played shadowlands I know that ability pruning and constant over balancing and the removing of talent trees etc has made the game horrible. Even in Wod with good pve the PvP was terrible compared to TBC and WOTLK. Sorry you are the one being selfish now no i donāt want what retail is selling.
There are too many classes/ races they all have the same abilities nothing is special no ones spec is unique those things killed it. There is no repairing it either since players already playing like those horrible things. Sorry but you argument āthis is a game only for those who wanted no changes is selfish and flat out wrongā.
This is our chance to lobby for what we want you I have no problem with you doing the same but if what I wanted was in retail ā¦ I would play retailā¦ They destroyed the fun pvp of the TBC WOTLK days they even killed the basic complexity of the game.
When they posted WOD ability pruning and I read the mistweaver page I thought I was being trolled it said something that was like āmist weaver was too hard now you just pick any heal and click it they are all pretty much the sameā like wtf? Thatās why I liked it it was complex and hard to master now itās lul click and helps broā¦ They become so obsessed with ābalanceā they took away every ability to customize how you played thatās a joke and no i donāt want thatā¦ so no thanks Iāll pass on retail you have and continue to lobby for the things I want to see from blizzard in the future.
Personally I would prefer a new world of Starcraft type game the idea the guy had about a 3 faction BG sounds amazing. Second choice a TBC or WOTLK with lots of changes and new content rebalanced new and better skill trees to explore etc. Iāll ask for what I want you ask for what you want and blizz can decide but donāt you tell me itās āyour gameā and not mine sorry no promises have been made for TBC at all and you are no entitled to anything.
I can agree with you on that. SWTOR exists, but itās not quite the same thing.

Aka they blew threw classic content and left when the nostalgia wore off and they are now ready for new content to consume. TBC will be the same if they donāt make it TBC+ Honestly a new game seems better for them so they donāt get bored.
Personally I have ZERO interest in starting over with a new MMO. I have played F2P MMOās before and they all sucked. None of them can capture the magic that WoW has. I donāt even think Blizzard knows what magic button they pushed that made it as amazing as it was/is. Alsoā¦ Microtransactions SUCK! The game would turn into a paywall.
Itās already a paywall you just pay a much higher costā¦ your life. Here is the thing you add micros and you still get the option to pay with your life you just can also have a life and choose to pay with money instead seems like an upgrade. If you can just do what everyone already does and get loot gold and accounts for your friends. While a Chinese gold scammer might take your CC or get you banned based on their actions in logs Iāve never seen anyone banned for selling an account to gold to a friend and itās not even against the rules to just give the the stuff for free. Guess I payed for my stuff with my amazing personality XD.
No, they havenāt touched classic and they are waiting on the sidelines for TBC. Just because classic is YOUR favorite version of WoW doesnāt mean itās everybodyās.
Itās not my favorite my favorite was TBC then wotlk then classic. I just donāt feel like playing the same boring content again I have said like a million times now I want the pvp from those games in a new game with all new toys and adventures. If they launched it I would certainly play it. I would simply prefer something new and if they did bring it back I would want all the changes new talents new professions and recipes fixed resistance system etc. the whole no changes things is just silly. Could you imagine them dumping the last TBC patch where arcane mages and rets just dumped on everyone? Lol yes so itās not that simple we have to be smart about things.
Also why would they make an MMO to compete with their own MMO? Business logic makes no sense.
