Why Blizzard got nothing new/replacement added when TCG loot cards got discontinued?

Greetings World of Warcraft community.
I remember World of Warcraft TCG cards, with a rare occasion where you can get a card with drop loot in-game , then they discontinued it and nothing similar has happen since.
The question is why? Why not to add something similar , why is all that cool stuff is like 10 years old, while nothing similar/new added for years?

If one piece of the game and universe discontinued, why nothing else was added instead?
Do you think there would be something similar , or that’s it and such a cool piece of this game is removed while nothing instead of it was added? makes it quite lame to have this experience, all those cool and interesting fun toys/mounts from back then, and nothing similar since.

Of course they added tons of content in-game itself, but just simple example of TCG cards made the game feel like bigger experience, physical interaction besides only digital, I just don’t understand.
What are your thoughts about this? Please share

There was a big issue and now they’d need to find a new company to license this through so with Hearthstone releasing after, they abandoned that idea, focused on hearthstone at that time. I don’t know but I think they were entertaining the idea some years ago but ultimately I think they just don’t want to risk it anymore.

The big question is why aren’t there crossover cards in Hearthstone, “get this card, get a mount”.

I’m betting that runs afoul of modern loot box and other potential gambling issues.

Most likely. I wouldn’t be opposed, tho, if being able to earn traders tendies through tasks in the game for in game card packs that have a chance at xmog items in them or something like that.

It’s posted from a different character and cannot be deleted, I don’t know why

Ah ok got you.

printing paper and occupying shelf space is expensive. if it’s not popular.

hell, MTG is going online, and LGS are withering because of it.

No thanks…TCG was never a big thing in some regions…

Well, at least something different could have been added instead, but nothing was ever done since that got removed!

and i think the “ebay scammers” was part of the nail in the coffin also
