The OP is literally ignoring these questions to make broad sweeping and inaccurate claims…
I did not mean for it to come across that way, lets see, I think we will likely see the same amount of players 1st week wanting to play classic as we did on launch day all those years ago.
After 3 months, it will depend on how many guilds have progressed through current content, however, be mindful that planned content roll outs are staggered well beyond the initial 3 months, so as a result I would guess we will still have a very large population playing Classic at that time.
With their statement of starting lean and growing if needed, I would also think that they will very likely add in more servers early on, but probably not as many as they did in their initial launch because of the layering tech they are using now.
I hope we get at least 1 RP-PVP server to choose from at launch, as I would hate to see it get added weeks after and then seeing a lot of us having to re-roll on the new server when they could have had at least 1 RP-PvP ready to go at the start.
Oh, and they can name if Moon Glade if they want
350,000 in the first week? That’s hella low.
Maybe? Wait and see! 350k all playing same week, that will definitely put their layering tech to task unless they also set up queues like we had in the original release week.
Honestly I will take the layering if it means more players can log in to play day 1.
If that’s all we’re getting, we don’t need layering.
Ok, lets change that number to 350k concurrent players… that would require layering. I remember back during WoTK Blizz hit just north of 1M concurrent players.
I feel 350k is reasonable based on how many subs they have lost over the last 6-7 years, hence why they stopped reporting true numbers years ago.
There are still people who don’t even know about Classic, who may show up later as well. We’ll just have to see how everything goes.
