It really boils down to one thing. Your individual skill has very little relation to whether or not you win or lose. It is entirely dependent on your teams skill or class composition you get dealt.
Get 0 ranged from matchmaking? You are probably going to lose.
Get no stealthies while the other team has plenty on a capping map? You are probably going to lose.
You get an H pal and a resto shaman while other team has monk and pres evoker. You are probably going to lose.
Welcome to the ultimate russian roullette game mode where your rating boils down to the class you are playing and to the RNG you get dealt.
Ranked BGâs are only viable in traditional format. The cap times for things and carts leave no room for meaningful fights to occur. Sure it was fun when rating wasnt tied to it but once you get try hard players in there⌠It really loses itself in my opinion. It really is just something to kill time between solo shuffles and that is the only thing its got for it.

The only way I can have fun doing blitz is by treating it like Normal BGs and not take it seriously because the bracketâs a meme. Your skill as an individual does have an impact to an extent, but at the end of the day, Blitz is a casino simulator. Whoever lucks out on having the least amount of bad players wins.

Yup itâs a bg where number of healers/tanks are equalized, everyone has similar gear, and no pre-mades are allowed (if you donât count 1 dps plus healer). I prefer them to normal bgs for these reasons.

I think this is the biggest issue with blitz. Itâs not just comp but mostly your fellow players.
I just did like 10 blitz games earlier today and holy smokes does your team skill count for so much.
I was in a WSG where we had an absolutely god awful comp and other team had 2 aff 1 rog, a fm, a dk, like, a god comp for WSG. Yet we won EASILY because we got matched against glue sniffers. I was expecting to get rolled and gripped back and rooted, nah, they just let me fc with barely any resistance. Team got achieve for winning in under 6min.
Happens opposite many times too. Twin Peaks. I carried a flag like a champ with my infinite MW mobility. Got to our base and I just see my entire team in middle fighting 3 people while their fc just casually passes by. Then I get 4 of them on me, and again, call me Cdew cuz I was healing out of my mind solo with flag. Porting everywhere, keeping 4 of them kited for over 2 min by myself. Meanwhile my team still in mid smelling their fingers while their fc just chillen afk in their base.
Some people are just too heavy to put on your back

Depends what class you are. Havenât pushed yet just trying to get tier on all my alts but so far my WW monk and Lock were way easier than my warrior. WW had mobility to get around to objectives. Lock just has straight up dmg and CC and can carry a team fight easily. Only thing I can do on warrior is train healers and locks and hope my team is winning their matchups, and an occasional cap when I have fear on somebody without trinket. But now warrior is stuck in ELO hell, just got out of a 1500 Twin Peaks with 5 flag returns and I got 15 rating. Pretty discouraging
This is the way.
Think of Blitz as just random bgs with equalized healers/tanks with a bit better conquest gain than randoms.
If you go in with the mentality that itâs gunna be the same as RBGs with coordination and objective focused play youâre gunna get tilted, and no one plays well or has fun while tilted.

Team comp matters, your teams overall skill matters, but those things are true of any Bg.
I still love blitz because I donât have to waste time finding a group, I donât have to waste more time finding another group after one loss when people leave, and I donât have to deal with premade queue syncers wasting my time ruining a match before it starts.

This is 1000% accurate. Call me crazy. But I am quite sure Blizz also has a âF Uâ queue that they stick people in whom they donât like.
Every single one of my games is horribly stacked against me. They usually stick me with 3 rets on flag maps every single time. While the other team is nothing but demon hunters and MW monks.

A number of them, yes. You could argue all the rated brackets have a luck factor to varying extents, but Blitz has the biggest one.
Of course itâs more random. like rummy is more random than poker. 10 randomized > 5 randomized
Itâs waht makes it more fun.
Had a game yesterday in ToK had 4 mm on the other team and my team was ready to give up in the lobby.
But we were able to rally and tho it was close we got the win.
What cards you are dealt matters but Iâd assert when you do with the cards is more important.
How you deal with the cards your dealt with does matter, but in a game like Hearthstone for example, itâs the RNG you manipulate in your own deck vs what your opponent puts together. BG Blitz is like 16 times that. If that level of RNG in a competitive WoW PvP format with rating is enjoyable for you, thatâs great for you. Not everyone feels that way.

Blizz made something that I, and by all activity metrics, a lot of other people enjoy. I donât appreciate folks calling for âfixesâ to things that arenât broken
The people who donât want randomness in their games have a LOT of PvE content.
Youâre going to have randomness in any game or mode where youâre teamed up with random people in a competitive matchup. This isnât unique to WoW.
