Why argue for dual spec?

Oh you don’t care about facts, I see. Keep being you.

Really don’t know what your trying to push, but I made a list and after that got flamed with ignorant dribble calling it garbage and invalid, I also got personal attacks like this one, so let me respond in kind , read my list and counter it, You can sit with your thumb in your butt crying about some dumb feature that your obsessed with because your lazy, but It’s not gonna make much difference.

Do you know who Patrick Dawson is? I’ll make you a deal. Go read the article. Respond to what it means, and I’ll respond to your list in its entirety.

Doesn’t work that way. My list was first, and your not worth me wasting my time

Ok, if I respond to yours will you read the article and respond to it before you respond to anything else?

Your name suits you, not one mention of introducing any wrath features just a very subjective mention of QoL like spell batching, they also said as authentic as possible which dual spec is not a feature in the original version. FACT.

Arena teams starting at 0 rating is not authentic. Arena teams starting at 0 is a change that is nearly unanimously resented.

The vast majority of players would like to see Dual Spec implemented in TBC Classic. They started work on Dual Spec during original TBC because of the problems that arose during TBC. If the TBC Classic devs were competent, we’d already have Dual Spec.

How many is a vast majority?

They don’t need to Add the Wrath dual spec. They could (and I’m not for or against dual spec in TBC, but these arguments are clown shoes) literally just Not lock talent points. That’s it, you put a point in and it’s not locked, you can take that point back out and put it somewhere else at any time you want. No need to have 2 saved specs, just Free respecs TILL wrath. Boom easy peasy.
Wanna go from PVE to PVP after you got ganked, you can do it.
Wanna spec imp blizz cause you’re doing a dungeon that it’s good in, you can do it.
Wanna chill in Shatt and PVP but test out some specs, you can do it.

Why are people so hurt about it?

Every single poll with a large enough sample size shows anywhere from 62%-80% in favor of Dual Spec being implemented in TBC.

You didn’t read the article, the point wasn’t to call out what changes they were going to make - the point was that they put changes on the table with no guard rails, and said they were counting on community input to drive those changes.

This is why people are asking for dual spec. Because the lead developer of the game told the community they wanted feedback, and they wanted the community to ask for changes. They committed to ongoing development along side the community.

Once you have accepted the developer intentions, as was stated by the guy in charge, you may begin to see how the arguments against dual spec without providing reasons why it would actually be bad - are just noise.

I’ll reply to your list when I get to a real browser. In the meanwhile I encourage you to read the article and try to understand what it’s flat out saying, and what it implies, and what it doesn’t say, and what that also implies.

Ah yes the random % replies. Those could not been missed in such a thread.

Blah blah blah.

Truth, polls aren’t reliable. Would be good if someone on the community council played a hybrid class as a main and had the guts to bring it up there to get feedback.

It’s called lack of empathy; it’s a self gratification complex that plagues a disposable society. To say there are no cons is idiotic as to say there are no pros,
Yes, the points are valid. It’s just they are trivial points and not necessary.

That is what I hear too seeing nonsense %'s thrown all over the internet. A poll of 10 people having such %'s vs polls of 1000s of people having such %'s. Not too sure what point you want to proof here as those polls are meaningless.

Don’t bother,

Restructure that post into something legible, please.

What are the Cons?

Not feelings.
Not Coding.
Not “No changes”.
Actual Game breaking effects to allowing people to respec at will or to institute a 2 spec system.
