Well, probably because they came out after DHs did.
Horde could get Nightborne DHs, too, though.
Although, I imagine it’s also something to do with Lore. Since we technically defeated the Legion, why would we need more DHs?

None of the player DHs are “new”. They became that way long ago. Now, void elves came about after DHs came back. So we are left to assume, simply, no DH joined the expedition into the void.
Perhaps the demonic aspect would conflict with the void. Perhaps we’ll see them when they finally have the existing DH teach the next generation.

It’s theoretically possible. They would have been around at the right time to join Umbric. I could see them saying something along the lines of Demon Hunters wouldn’t be keen on the idea of using the void, but that’s about it.
Not at all possible with the current timeline.

There is literally no valid lore reasons to have more demon hunters now. The whole point of demon hunters was to fight fire (demons) with fire (demonic powers). The Legion is 6 feet deep now.

Because they weren’t any DH on Silvermoon.
Strictly speaking, the Legion still exists, it’s just that a lot of what made it such a terrifying threat has been removed from play; A decent sized splinter faction could credibly threaten both horde and alliance if they approached azeroth properly.

Assuming all the DH’s were in stasis for however long, were there even technical blood elves at that time or are they all thawed out high elves that happen to be blood for faction balance?
We destroyed the portal system that they used to invade worlds, as well as killing off all of their leadership.
So between the vastly reduced mobility, lack of shared direction, fear of death without Argus to revive them, and being hunted by the Illidari, I doubt we will see much more from the Legion as a cohesive group.
Also, all of the Demon Hunters were created during the Burning Crusade era. They were imprisoned until Legion. So there aren’t any new ones being trained.
They were Blood Elves. Kael and his followers were already Blood Elves when they met Illidan in WC3:TFT

Demon hunters dont follow their race, they have no interest in what umbric and his followers were doing. They solely live to defeat the legion. The same way no blood elf paladin would study the void
they are blood elves that followed Kael through the portal but stayed with illidan to learn the ways of a demon hunter

Because Void infused combined with Fel infused explodes. They would be kamikaze elves and live for five seconds. Xul’horac’s lore proves this.

Well if we’re going on lore, the fel and the void, as evil as they both are, probably arent very compatible. that’s probably why sargeras - a titan who feared and hated the void, used the fel as a weapon.
but then again void elves can be priests… so idk
They should just add more DH races. Elves should become DH the Illidan way and other races should become DH’s in their own way.
Expand on the lore don’t stagnate it.
The Illidari as is has enough history and information to make more. Devs simply choose not to.

I did forget their storyline for a moment.
Void elves are infused and altered by Void, demon hunters are infused and altered by fel. The combination of two would be highly volatile and most likely cause the individual to either mutate into something like Xhul’horac or just go Chernobyl. Same reason void elves don’t have paladins, the combination of Light and Void would be too volatile for a mortal. It’s different from a void elf channeling fel as a warlock because a demon hunter is required to mainline it.
I think it’s just far easier to justify every race as a Death Knight. Demon Hunters basically undergo a transformation and become Demons to fight Demons.
Demons with a conscious more or less.
And if you lose that mental battle then you become a cog in the BL machine or blow up violently.

Because, according to the lore, only Night Elves or Blood Elves became Demon Hunters after Illidan began fighting the legion. Void elves didn’t exist until recently, and Nightborne were hiding under their city shield for all that time, as well.
The people who know the ritual for creating demon hunters aren’t creating anymore, and void elves showed up after those who could create demon hunters stopped.
Cus we need a Dh race that isn’t an elf! Not everyone is a huge elf person.
