There is absolutely zero reason to bring a hunter to M+ or raids

Their defensive are complete trash and the damage is bad in 10.2

They have it’s just that no one on Blizzard’s team cares. Hunter is the child they abandoned when they went out to get milk from the store.

Well our defensives are VERY outdated especially when compared to most other classes. I’m under the impression that at this time there is no dedicated hunter dev on their team and that’s kind of what we’re waiting on.

but that’s not true? we have an above average healthpool (rejuvenating winds) , potentially even larger health pool with endurance training, a personal and larger rallying cry, potentially flat 10% leech, turtle, sotf, and exhilaration. that’s a pretty extensive kit. our weakness is rot damage.
look at shaman if you want to see true misery when it comes to defensives

There’s tons of feedback about what is wrong with all three hunter specs in the PTR thread.
Those threads are pointless. It’s clear they only have a handful of class devs that focus on 1-2 classes every patch. Every other class gets abandoned.

Either more Hunters are giving up on changing the status quo, and/or more Hunters are actually ACCEPTING the current status quo, that Hunter is a solo-oriented class.
Zero reason to bring a Hunter? Zero reason a Hunter wants to!
There’s exciting WPvP, SoShuff, and casual BG options for this rather Gucci-in-its-own-way class.

The Comparativese accent is strong, but it still sounds like Plain-Speak. It’s quite garbo compared to others though not as it used to be during the Borrowed Power era…
Shaman has more absorbs, self-healing, wears the same armor type AND can equip a shield. Even when I was ganking a 64 Shammy during BFest, I can see how he was blocking my RFire shots(ofc I was hitting at him from the front).
And remember, Versatility helps with absorbs and self-healing, so any WPvPing Shaman has an edge with that stat over a WPvPing Hunter. And Hunter has nothing against magical damage.
As Ogdenir puts it, Hunter is abandoned as a little child. That’s not the same thing as abandoning someone 18 years old and up. The other classes would be like abandoning a fresh high school grad, or abandoning a mid-20 something who just got their Graduate degree.
Now obviously a newly minted Master/Doctor is going to do really well out there(hopefully?). A new high school grad would have it substantially rougher, but a poor 6-year-old kid that doesn’t know what happened at all?

I hear Warlocks are hiring.
The short answer is, people have been screaming about the state of hunters since basically Legion, and it seems those screams just go into a void never to be heard from again, so people are tired of trying.

In a roundabout way, I didn’t approve of MSV(a joke then, still something of a joke now) and that Hunter lost much from Warlords when I first started, but I somehow survived and thrived. WoD was Candyland compared to what was laid ahead for me.
I cried out against MeleeCraft and HybridCraft, because I understood that we’re not the only pure ranged class in the choir. Mages, Locks, and Hunters all needed a piece of the pie. It’s just too bad that the former two actually enjoyed a celebrated status in group play.

What hunters need is a complete revamp in pets IA.
Expansion is half way thru so not much will change.
Have to save energy for the next expansion of wishful expectations.
Isnt next patch in like a week the final major patch
nothings been confirmed on it being the final patch but it seems that way based on aotc mount
10.2 will most likely hit November 7th. Highly doubtful they would release it right before Blizzcon. They want to get people excited at Blizzcon, then drop the patch a couple days later.
I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

I am. I’m visiting forums and shoehorning hunter rework questions into the threads. Getting mixed reactions. But, you know what. I don’t care. Hate me all they want. I will keep complaining and thread bombing until a damned dev answers us.
Screw this no communication crap, screw having no one who understands Hunter class/spec working on the obvious short comings. Screw a company that took something awesome Warcraft and turned it into a shell of what it could have been.
Players deserve better.
