Undead can be reanimated and swords reforged.
Then I don’t know what to say, except that druid is the best class to farm the mount
But I want it on my DK.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of the Zhevra Hooves quest? I thought not. It’s not a story the Alliance would tell you.

Yea but a reforged sword, particularly if it was substantially damaged previously, isn’t really the same sword. I can take the melted remnants of Ashbringer and bang on it all day with my novice smithing skills… the end result will most certainly not be “Ashbringer”
And that’s ignoring any magical properties the blade may have had which may be lost in a reforging. You may find a lump of metal… that’s not the same thing as finding an epic sword, even if you were to forge that lump into a new sword…
Magical weapons in fantasy also frequently bind to their wielder which could mean they lose their previous properties when the wielder dies, and the horse could be familiar which typically vanish when their owner dies, except for the very rare familiar with a particular attachment to this plane.
that sword is so garbage tho – but I remember really really really wanting it on my original 2004 Cow-Hunter, because I thought that move speed buff would stack with the boots enchant. 
Glad I don’t have to farm that dump. Ran strat hundreds of times in the past and never saw a sword or mount drop. Fortunately for me, horde has no shortage of boney steeds. I like most of them. Used red and purple for a long time. Recently used the new ochre and now forsaken from argent tournament.

I was trying one more time on my NE hunter.
In the crater. seek ye 10 (iirc) dinosaur bones quests.
and every dinosaur I killed for a solid 10 minutes was boneless. there are very few boneless mobs in wow. Slimes (of different kinds) would be those mobs. Dinosaurs are not slimes.
and then I said yeah…this is why she sits at level 50 range, eternally.
op the path to retails later time sink known as mount and mog hunting were laid in classic lol.
if 4000 people log in only to hunt this mount, that is 4000 more MAU’s for blizzard.
