Farming the first 4 bosses gives you 16 pieces of loot. +2 mythic raid slots.
Regardless of how many slots you unlock for mythic track, you can only pick one.
This depends on whether youre trying to progress, or gear up. Nothing wrong with spending 2-3 weeks farming first 4 bosses to get everyone the gear that drops from those bosses for ilvl boosts, then spend the next couple weeks extending lockout for progress.
Much like farming 6s for hero slots. Farm it for the ilvl before trying to progress up the m+ ladder
Ah guess you beat me to it.
This is simply because most of those players are racing against an imaginary opponent. Why everyone thinks CE needs to be achieved thr week after RWF finishes is beyond me. 6 months of a season and people think it needs to be on farm by week 4
Heās literally just a contrarian and a troll. Just wants to argue no matter what the subject matter may be. Also if you try to engage in and honest manner heāll just move the goalposts to suit his argument.
Sure. But everyone is fighting for ilvl out of the gate like if theyre not fully mythic geared by week 3, CE is unachievable.
We can see later raid encounters being cleared by 40-50% average parses. Its not the ilvl thats the struggle. The āneedā to farm out m+ for all your mythic raiding needs isnt the issue you make it out to be.
Average of 63% parses at higher end Hero track ilvl. Folks could take their time farming out Mythic raid bosses for their ilvl needs in earlier weeks, then start the lockout extensions later when theyre comfortable.
The whole āneed to farm m+ to mythic raidā isnt the devil you make it out to be. The time spent in m+ to supplement ilvl could be done reclearing Heroic and funneling the gear to those who need it.
Much more gear in a lot less time that way.
32 pieces of gear in 2 hours beats 8 pieces of gear in 2 hours
Youāll have to forgive him. He learned the term āmoving goalpostsā but hasnt quite figured out what it means or how to apply it properly yet.
Its like the kid who just learned his first swear word
This is true, most donāt need to play the first three weeks at all.
Not exactly true. Guilds run out of time or are projected to run out of time, so they aim for something more than the very last week (which also occurs at an unspecified date.)
Playing for race to world last doesnāt really work if season might end a month earlier than projected or even a few weeks.
Right, but iām saying that the ilvl isnāt the main issue. People arenāt constantly being walled off because theyāre operating at 95% and just lacking throughput. Ilvl isnāt the issue that everyone is making it out to be.
The āfarm M+ to be viable in mythic raidsā is the boogeyman thatās made up. When bosses are going down with blue and green parses in mythic raids, in hero track gear, ilvl isnāt the issue.
I do understand that ilvl allows for more mistakes and more wiggle room. But being 665+ ilvl and being 100 pulls into a boss and not able to break 30% (numbers made up for exampleās sake before anyone jumps down my throat) isnāt because of ilvl and lack of throughput.
In Nerub when my guild finally downed Queen, it wasnāt because they suddenly increased the average ilvl of the raid by 15. I think it may have gone up by like 3 over the course of 3-4 weeks, but it came down to finally having people do the mechanics properly.
Getting to phase 2 with enough people up from folks not dying to standing in bad because they tunneled was the key to success for them (had to pug in a few people who tended to be the tunnelers most week).
Also looking at the grander picture, the strength of raids (itās numbers), is also their weakness. If I could group with 19 other players of my consistency, I feel like Iād have a group thatād be regularly farming 4/8 Mythics most tiers. I always pray I get stuck with a mechanic so I know itās one that can get done properly. Thereās 20 people, weāve got 10 minutes, the damage is there. Just focus on the mechanics.
In summary: the struggles of obtaining CE rarely fall to ānot enough ilvlā (as can be seen by RWF average ilvl compared to average ilvl of a later CE guild)
Its more you missed the issue. Most guilds extend lockouts after the first 3 sometimes 4 weeks. There isnāt much value in reclears so they raher grind on the next boss.
It leaves this weird no mans area betweeb feeder guilds and progression guilds for new players. Its why I would like to see mythic plus bridge the gap. Visions and delves to if difficulty warrents it.
This just helps prove my point more: ilvl isnt the issue, therefor āspamming m+ to be viable in raidsā is simply a made up boogeyman and no one needs to be spamming m+ to get CE.
That isnāt what is being said⦠late comers need the ilv to progress later fights but guilds donāt really exist that farm it past the first month.
I tried it last tier⦠I died from unavoidable damage till I could get roughly 2/3 mythic just for the stamina it offered. That or i would need to eat external cds alongside my own. I think you are to worried about ilv. Its a tool nothing special. Mogs matter more look at mage tower.
I havenāt been party to PvE discussions for all the beef between raiders and dungoneers, but for the record I believe that any discrepancy between them should also be rectified.
My understanding is that raiding and M+ are much closer, with asymmetric benefits that are ostensibly intended to compliment one another. I definitely donāt think thatās a good system and raiders shouldnāt feel the need to run M+ any more than either raiders or M+ players should feel the need to run delves.
