Well now I’m more confused because if it’s allowing more survivability that’s a utility issue… The shield has been nerfed so much it’s hardly noticeable to me on having much of an effect.
I can throw out a heal now and then which uses a global to do but I see it as any hybrid class that has heal spells, you should be using your whole kit…
I do the same thing on my druid which has a group DPS heals and use my heals on others when the healer is struggling…
Literally any class with a heal spec is able to do this. We have a fancier life grip “rescue”
We have the group mitigation which is like a DK shield, we could give groups speed boost CDs which is mainly a raid talent.
Otherwise the AOE heal bloom, red dragon DPS to healing conversion and tank shields are a mix of druid and shaman utility.
Is the argument then that augmentation has too much utility? Because as a druid player as well I can say I feel both have plenty of utility when you use your entire kit.
Which if you’re a team player who wants to succeed and help your group as much as possible then you should be using everything! Be it on Aug or balance I and off healing whenever needed, heck if healers are expected to DPS then I will likewise heal. As an augmentation your personal DPS is already kind of eh so bringing some survivability and helping healers. Though our main filler spell likewise has the talent to split and do damage/heal multiple things, so it’s really just filling that support role.
Since it’s the only one they support DPS, tanks and healers(mana Regen)
This is more an issue of being the only support class with nothing else to compare to besides the classes I compared.
Likewise plenty of other groups are high without Aug and surviving more than they should…so that’s not really a good argument because anyone who plays at the top levels will do so.
I think Aug does have a lot of eggs in the basket and sure it makes that 1% of the best in the top only a tiny faction of players can reach highest keys a bit easier to reach if done right…there’s a lot of timing and tracking of buffs from other classes you are buffing you need to pay attention to and tends to require your group being in discord to communicate… Which will already make groups more efficient than pugs who don’t communicate.
I’m not salty I just think there are many hybrids who have plenty of utility that likewise makes groups " live longer than they should" when you at your all. Augmentation is just made to where it’s built in to benefit you for using everything.
Rather than destroying that, they should incentive more specs to use all of their abilities to gain group success.
Not kill it. That only makes the game stagnant and remain a one trick pony. More duality of healing spells hurting enemies or buffing self and allies would be a benefit.
Not salty, I just find this mentality that its good for the game to make high keys impossible and to kill any spec that makes it easier as a “bad for the game”. Make more classes have better duality abilities and make more support roles. It’s not 2005 anymore, people don’t want their time wasted on some perceived elitist view that you shouldn’t be able to succeed and should have your time wasted to keep this game alive.
The game is made to be beaten.

It’s utility is similar to many hybrid and more classes should be encouraged to use everything to aid their groups more. Build others up to match it, don’t kill the one that shows it’s successful and works.
